How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The sofa bed was unusable as a bed. It was so uncomfortable that the person that was supposed to sleep on it left and stayed somewhere else. The other room booked wasn't cleaned properly and had body hair left in the bath.
Location was convenient. Staff was helpful.

There were drug people shooting up with needles on the opposite end of the hotel (where you would drive in to the back parking lot). There was a large off leash dog in the backyard that approached mine which was scary. There was a man who continued to yell and scream across the hallway from us. More to the far end, not directly across from us. The door didn’t seem very secure and the bathroom was downright awful and needs to be gutted. The tap water would spray everywhere as well. Also, we were all lined up outside the hotel to check-in. I think you should have someone there to open up so we can sit in the lobby. It was very hot outside.
The lady was nice and polite at check-in. The backyard was very spacious and pretty with bright flowers, grass and lovely scenery. Great for dogs as long as they are leashed.

Facility was dated, dresser was nice but draws were in need of repairs, parking in rear is very tight for bigger vehicles. Second locking door to 2nd floor was a pain

The hallways were so hot and the A/C in the room wasn't adequate to cool the room off, it was a very hot night with a restless sleep

It was not cleaned at all plus there were junkies around the property even in the property therefore was concern about safety

We can hear all noises from other rooms, the fan wasn’t strong enough, did not sleep well at all because too hot. Too many homeless people hanging out. The other room was very noisy till midnight.

The property is dirty, the room mediocre at best. The TV wouldn't work.
This motel is a $79 dollar special - problem is they charge $150 - NOT worth it.

The location, while convenient for car travel, is in a not-so-great area of the city. Some yelling from guests noticed. Drug use in the parking lot. The building is an older and basic property, and while the interior of the room was clean the common areas were less so, and a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke is present (even in non-smoking rooms). Fleece blanket offered had burn holes in them and some marks that resembled ash.
Can't beat the price. Interior of rooms were fairly clean. Staff was polite.

The motel met the expectations for the price. The staff was wonderful. I didn't feel overly safe there, especially with my young daughter. I witnessed a man smoking meth on one of the picnic tables and a number of other random people riding bikes, walking through the property.
