Anthea is an amazing host and does a great job. The breakfast is delicious. The dogs are incredibly cute as well. Would recommend without a doubt. Stayed there twice.:)

We would have liked to be able to lock our bedroom door when we left the property.

Everything was super clean! The bed was very comfortable. AC in the room if you wanted. The breakfast was fantastic and beautifully laid out. Coffee/tea/OJ/fresh fruit/yogurt/breads. My husband had fresh eggs from the chickens in the backyard.

We stayed one night at Anthea’s and felt completely at home. She is incredibly welcoming and helpful, and her two adorable little dachshunds are pure entertainment for dog lovers 😄. The room was spotless, comfortably furnished, and breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We especially appreciated her support with our ferry departure: she kindly reminded us about the check-in time, recommended dropping off the rental car the evening before, and even offered to drive us to the terminal early in the morning. That level of care is truly exceptional. We give the highest rating and would love to come back. Thank you, Anthea!

Campbell Cottage was a lovely place to stay as we passed through Nanaimo. The room was comfortable, the bathroom well stocked, the breakfast delicious, the garden and chickens fun to see, the little dogs adorable, and the host kind and helpful.

Good old fashioned bed and breakfast. Anthea was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was superb. The two dachshunds were very cute and mischievous. We had a private bathroom in the adjoining room.

Be aware that owner has dogs (they are friendly and honestly not an issue) so if thats a problem this might not be the place for you.

If you are looking for complete isolation and to avoid any chatting, probably not the best option for you. Also I would not recommend it to someone who hates dogs, but if you are iffy on dogs, I wouldn't be worried. The miniature dachshunds are cute, about the weight of a pack of hot dogs and the shape of a hot dog too. Good dogs to avoid triggering any fears.

A great room-in-someones-house type B&B as a welcome and well treated guest. Her little dachshund dogs are super adorable and visited for attention after I made it clear that I was happy to give all the pats. The back garden was lovely and we had a really good meal just a couple blocks away. Her breakfast was exactly as in the picture and very tasty with lots of choice.

I had a very pleasant stay at Campbell Cottage. The room was lovely and clean and the bed comfortable. I really enjoyed the delicious breakfast that was served by Anthea, the best host for a B&B you could ever ask for. She is so friendly, talkative and most importantly helpful. Suggesting places I could visit, recommending good restaurants and even driving me to a shop and the ferry terminal since I had no car. Moreover, I totally adored the two little dogs she has. I am so thankful for the generosity and hospitality.

This home is spotless and well appointed. The breakfast is exceptional. The bed is comfortavle and I had very sound sleep. The host has foreseen evry need and is quite accommodating. There is a small area where chickens are kept at the edge of the property meaning you have the option of fresh eggs for breakfast.

The hostess was amazing and the breakfast was an experience, with farm fresh eggs. Location was close to “old town”, with a great selection of food choices, within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends and family.
