The owner yelling at the dogs to be quiet (doesn't usually work). I'm sure he's a good owner, but I felt a bit for the dogs.

More comfy beds. They are on the hard side. Fix all the interior doors because they were not closing properly. Fix the windows so they open and close better. It’s like going back to when you lived in an old dorm back in college!

After reading some of the other comments I decided to add my two cents. This seems to be a love it or hate it location. I, and my family, loved it. It was just a fantastic place filled with all kinds of memorabilia even a couple of collector motorcycles in the halls. The breakfast was great, egg soufflé with pancakes and smoked back bacon plus hot coffee. If you are looking for a place to stay with a great host, central location, really good food, clean comfortable rooms and a unique living experience then Bulwinkles is your place. I highly recommend it and I know we will stay again as will my brother and his wife.

The home and property could be very grand. It could use some sprucing up such as outside paint and grass cutting, interior wall paper upgrades, etc. However, none of these things impacted our stay and I would go again if needing accomodation in Souris.

Brady made a delicious hot breakfast servied right on time. He was a gracious and accomodating host. The location is right in Souris and very convenient and here are numerous room choices, each one different and interesting.

The place definitely needs cleaning. But it became clear to me why after I realized that this place is maintained by a man alone. There is an idea, there is a style, a spirit, you can see the love for the place, but there is no female hand to tidy up the place. A bachelor pad.

Very quiet place, no people anywhere at all. Close to the ferry. The house is historical, not reconstructed. Authentic furniture and interior.

Brady was a warm host who served an ample, delicious hot breakfast each morning! He was very helpful, carrying our bags upstairs and allowing us to plug in our hybrid car to an outside outlet.

The yard was in rough shape. We had to be careful not to step in dog poop.

The house was beautifully kept and like going back in time. Loved the old charm of the place! The beds are super comfortable & what an amazing host Brady was with his two fur-babies. It was very quiet and incredible breakfast!! A definite recommendation to stay here!!

The approach to this B&B was poor. The building does not appear to be well cared for. Two large dogs belonging to the owner were not kept under control and were barking excessively and were aggressive while the owner was absent. The owner did not identify himself upon our arrival and appeared to be a handyman.

The breakfast and the location were the only redeeming features of this B&B.

the breakfast was amazing! The owner cooked it himself. We had homemade buckwheat pancakes, eggs, ham and sausage, toast and fresh fruit. Best B&B breakfast I ever had. The owner is very friendly and fun to talk with.

It’s run down old house that smells of dogs and mildew the dogs were in the kitchen as the man was cooking the yard was covered in dog feces . There were parts from some vehicle scattered on the floor of the front entrance the place was deplorable
