How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Not much! I just noticed one of plugs in the washroom I didn’t work to use like a hair dryer but it’s ok I managed around it
The place is very clean and newly renovated! And the owner Rob is so nice and accommodating! Its also really cool because you’re so close to the board crossing bridge it’s a nice view from across the St Laurent and pretty close drive to historical sites like Fort Wellington and battle of the windmill and about 10 mins from Prescott and 20 from Brockville! It’s a nice and quiet area! It’s looks unassuming from the road but the room was very nice :)

If I had to complain about anything, it would just be that most of the rooms are fairly small unless you are lucky and get one of the suites.
Nice place - owners are nice people and the dog is the best. Comfortable rooms and its a quiet location. Will definitely stay again soon.

Our stay at Bridgewaters Inn was fantastic. We experienced a warmhearted welcome and the friendliness of the host made us feel very comfortable. The outstanding cleanliness and the well-furnitured room provided us with a high level of convenience. The bed is very comfy and the room is well temperated. There was no trouble with any noise of the street or whatsoever. We definitely recommend this place and will gladly stay here again!

We stopped there on our way to Montreal and spent one night. The room had everything we needed and was clean. The owner was really nice and accommodating.

Sign missing on one side.
Rooms were "eat off floor" clean. Comfy bed. Rob was great, referred us to amazing pizza and breakfast, just helping us out.

The only thing we didn't like was the variety of instant coffee, but that is completely our personal preference! Everything was great otherwise.
The owner was exceptionally kind and welcoming. The room was perfectly clean and fresh. Very thoughtful touches to the towels and bedding. Very comfortable bed. It was perfect for the short stay we had and would definitely come back!

Though everything was great, ot is overall expensive for 1night.
The owner was so nice and welcoming, he upgraded us for free when he saw we came with our 5kids. Everything was clean, comfy and looking nice.

Good mid-point for us to stop on travels to PQ, great food just down the road, gas and convenience store beside. Lots of space to walk the dog.

Honestly, we’re just nitpicking to find something wrong because our stay was otherwise fantastic! The only thing we can say is that the beds were a bit uncomfortable, but that’s more a matter of personal preference (everyone loves their own bed).
Bridgewaters Inn is an absolute gem that saved us a lot of money while exceeding all expectations. The rooms were spacious, exceptionally clean, and had the comforting scent of freshly laundered clothes, making it feel like a home away from home. Rob, the owner, is a delight—warm, chatty, and incredibly accommodating. His genuine hospitality truly made our stay memorable. We especially loved his dog Indy! She’s a beauty. We were also traveling with our dog, and it was no problem at all for them, which was a huge relief. We plan to stay here every time we’re in the area. There’s no need to pay extra for other hotels with lesser quality! Highly recommend.

Would prefer black coffee instead of packs with sugar and creamer.
Rob and Lisa so friendly and helpful. Indy the motel dog graciously came to play with us and give us some love- a highlight for us!! A fabulous place, hope to be back this way so we can stay again

The location was so ideal, we were crossing the border in the am, so this was great. It was very clean and nicely decorated, very comfortable. Beautiful view of the St. Lawrence river as well.

The room was spacious and clean. The gentleman who helped me check in was just so lovely and helpful showing me the AC and TV controls as well as directions to where I was headed the next day. Everything was cozy and comfortable and I would certainly stay there again if I was in town again.
