Very upset with the service of the staff member Stephane. Had to stop here after a snow storm on the road, so it was late during the night, therefor my friend asked the lady at check in for a late 12 pm checkout, she said yes, no problem. I was checking in with Stephane at the same time and ask him for the same late checkout, 2 minutes later, to which he says he isn’t sure if it’s possible and will need to verify. He doesn’t verify so after paying I ask him again. He, again, says he isn’t sure this is possible and needs to check. I politely explain to him his colleagues just gave my friend I am travelling with late checkout so it would be nice if I could have a late check out as well, not have to leave earlier and wait for him in the car while he does his late check out… PLUS I PAID FOR A ROOM UPGRADE, 65$ MORE THAN MY FRIEND, SO HOW AM I PAYING 65$ more yet are receiving worse service and can not get the same late checkout??????? Finally Stephane says it’ll be okay. NEXT MORNING I GET A CALL WAKING ME UP AT 11:13 AM to ask me to check out?!?!?!?! I tell them Stéphane had said we could have late check out and they say it’s not a problem… so Stephane really could of just wrote it in the notes or whatever the girl did while checking in our friend who did not get woken up. I couldn’t fall back asleep after receiving the phone call, so Stephane’s incompetence didn’t allow me to get the sleep i was expecting here, especially after playing 65$ EXTRA, just to have a more comfortable room. Extremely disappointed and wish I would of checked in with the girl instead of Stephane, or at least wouldn’t of paid the extra 65$ for a better room I can’t even properly enjoy, it wasn’t worth it at all.

the breakfast was ok, I guess if it were less busy the size of the breakfast bar was good, but it was difficult getting around the other guests. The toilet could probably use some maintenance as it ran all night, we had to play in the tank to get the plug to stop

The room looked recently renovated, comfy bed and crisp bedding. Spacious room. There's some wonderful x-country skiing to do near the hotel at the Centre Plein-Air de Mont Laurier

The pillows were the worst (too squishy and with no support) and the breakfast ends early (9am) so if you want to sleep in a little bit, it’s impossible.

The property was clean, well situated and the staff was professional.

The front entrance seems to need a bit of work. your receptionist was excellent and made the whole lack of door working a big laugh for all so it was okay. We did not have kids with us but if we had, after a very very long drive (I’m from Ontario near Oshawa), the last thing I would think is funny is having my kids stand outside in the colder weather temps while the hotel fixes their front entrance door. Not an issue for me, but likely for others!

I was bummed to have forgotten a library book at the hôtel. When I asked if they could ship to me (and I would pay them), they said I have to call UPS and do it myself, which would cost 120$ instead of them sending it for 15 dollars.
