Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe internet was slow, so it was impossible for me to stream a movie.
The proximity to the airport is very helpful. - The room was very clean, well equipped, and I slept wonderfully. - The breakfast was good and varied.

CanadaThe bathroom toilets are so low. If you are over 50 to hard to get off toliet. They need to put a grab bar next to the toliet so someone can get off the toliet.
That’s it is close to the airport and free shuttle.

AustraliaThe breakfast was fairly basic. The location didn't really have much to offer apart from the proximity to the airport.
The room was comfortable. Both restaurants in the building were good.

It was right across the street from the bus that takes you to the train station. The price was right.

AustraliaRoom was noisy (aircon unit, something else internally, plus aircraft noise), never got the wakeup call we booked over the phone, bathroom was small, nowhere to put soap and shampoo. Breakfast next doorish was included (a plus) but not great, especially if you would have liked eg gluten free bread.
Easy to get to via the shuttle service they share with Hampton Inn, reasonable price, breakfast next door was just ok (although staff were very good), lady checking us in to the hotel was nice.

The hotel is in a good position for the one arriving at Vancouver international airport (only 15 min away). The train to downtown in located only 10 minutes away by feet and takes about 15 minutes to rea h the city center. The room was big enough and well equiped. Beds were really comfortable

BelgiumAbsolutely incompetent reception - looks like schoolchildren working part-time during the holidays, which is ok for me, if only they were taught. Breakfast is almost protein-free. Cleaning and replenishment of shampoos and other consumables must be requested. With difficulty, I managed to return the cost of the first night taken twice - few hours of time were spent on communication and I had to talk to the reception, senior manager and accountant, although they should not have taken anything from my card before arriving at the hotel.
There is a shuttle from/to the airport, a hotel located not far from the key station of the Sky Canada, from where there is transport to the ferry as well as to the centre of Vancouver and/or Richmond.

close to the Sky train; close to the airport (short taxi ride). Restaurant next door, breakfast provided in the morning. Loved the prints on the walls of Scottish scenes.

SingaporeThe decor and facilities are dated. The aircon in the room was very noisy. The room cards were always out of order and could not open the room door. Had to always go back to the front office to change.
The staff were wonderful. The front office staff, Ann and the front office manager, Florence were exceptionally helpful. The staff in the breakfast room was very good too.

United StatesHad I known that there wasn't really anything to do or see in Richmond without a car, I may have just stayed in Vancouver for an extra night. I think the Night Market was closed and it's more of a busy area with a lot of cars, highways, and shopping centers. I also stood at the check in desk for at least 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged me, however the employee was very helpful once she did.
It was conveniently located near the airport and they had a free shuttle that took me to the airport. I was given a "To Go" bag for breakfast because I had to leave before breakfast was served, which was a nice touch. The A/C was nice and cold.

CanadaThe hotel is quite dated. The bed pillows had an unpleasant, musty smell that definitely needs attention. Overall, both the hotel and its rooms are in need of renovation. The location wasn’t very appealing to me,, aside from a nearby Costco, there isn’t much around. As for the facilities, there’s really not much to offer. Given the price, we expected more.
I appreciate that breakfast was included in the room rate. The staff in the breakfast area were attentive and very helpful. I also valued the complimentary airport shuttle,, it was a great added convenience.
