The air-conditioner is too noisy. The pillows are too bulky. We went out for breakfast in the morning. When we came back at 10:45am (we hadn't checked out yet), we were surprised to find that the door of 404 was opened and the janitor was cleaning the room with our luggages still there. The janitor even stopped us from using the bathroom.

The hotel itself is an impressive structure but it is quite dated and as with everything that gets tired over time it starts to show. The entry road is split by an upper parking lot shared by a distillery that appeared closed for business. So if you come in on that side it's a bit of a ways down before you'll see the hotel. We didn't see a sign that indicated which side of the split road to come down so it was a bit confusing the first day. Also the $5 voucher for breakfast is redeemed in a different hotel somewhere down the road towards town so you have to drive there to utilize it.

The room was ready upon check-in and very clean. The beds were comfortable. There was a pleasant view from the balcony although it looked across a parking lot before it kicks in.

We could easily hear the people above us making noise. The noise transfers through so we can hear it. The mattress wasn't that comfortable. The food at the restaurant was a problem. No dressing on our salad and the salmon wasn't cooked. We did get a free dessert.

The view from the room was great. The couch was comfortable and it was nice to have. In our room. We were given 2 vouchers for breakfast at their sister hotel since their restaurant wasn't open for breakfast. We had dinner though in the restaurant which was on the ocean and had great views.

The bed was a bit too soft for my liking, and the noise was a bit loud from the auto fan/heater running at night. Fortunately, all the walking, hiking and activities I did during the day helped me with a deeper sleep and not affected by it much.

The finishes are older, dated colours especially the walls being a pinky beige, it’s in need of a refresh. I did yoga on the floor and have to say that the rug doesn’t smell very good. Breakfast is offered in a sister location, how to get there is not properly explained so it was hard to find.

Fire alarm went off in middle of night and there was no directions on what to do . ( The ovenight security was nowhere to be seen and we all stood around outside in the cold) this was apparently addressed so we were happy to hear this . The second night there were a bunch of young hockey families who were rambunctious for a little while but they settled down by 9:00 pm so again . very pleased with the staff

The breakfast was horrible. It gave me food poisioning. I am not sure how old the food was, but it definitely was not fresh. I recommend NOT eating the included breakfast. The resort is in a large hillside. It may be challenging for those with large vehicles to get down to it.
