How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The washroom was very small. The outside BBQ area was very dirty with garbage all over the ground. Have some bites on my feet that I'm hoping are not bed bugs. Very expensive for what I got.
Liked the proximity to the beach and attractions.

The stairs to the second floor were a little sketchy. The air conditioning did not work, and the TV kept turning on by itself. We had to unplug it. Also there were 2 holes in the floor that allowed you to see all the way to the suite underneath

I didn't like the fact that we went out one evening and the staff came into put fresh towels and linen in the room but left our room door wide open, we checked around and didn't find any thing missing but it was still upsetting.
There was no breakfast. The location was good.

They gave me the wrong room, booked and paid for a superior queen room and got a room with double beds. Curtains didn’t open and close well. No outside lights at night. Needs repairs.

They were still working out things with new staff. Any concern we had they addressed right away. Pool wasn't finished so kids were a little disappointed but they said we could use the pool at their other location. Room needed a broom and we were told they were on order.
Location was great and the cottage was clean. Staff always helped when needed.

Air conditioning didn't work. Shampoo in shower empty bottles. Bbq or things were not ready. Our room was not ready for check-in. Pool not ready for season but no one told us until morning of.
The staff were wonderful and did their best. They got things ready as quick as they could. They also helped whenever asked. Polite. They were 4 stars.

Other aspects of the room were very dated - including a buzzing/dim overhead light and broken curtain hooks. the outside of the property looks very dilapidated with garbage strewn around and lots of updates/maintenance needed . We were lucky to have quiet neighbours but could tell the walls were very thin and any noise from other rooms travelled easily into ours.
The room itself appears relatively recently renovated with new floors and bathtub/shower. . However, given the bad reviews we had read in advance of our stay we were pleasantly surprised that the room was pretty good. The beds were good quality and we all slept comfortably.

I don't like to write comments normally but...I stayed her a couple times before, roughly 4 years ago and 5 years ago, things have gone a bit down hill, employees were very friendly but rooms definitely needs a pick me up, the pool says it's heated, there is no way it is a heated pool, says there is a hot tub, it was not functioning ( it wasn't when I was there the last time either). One of my biggest reasons for staying there was the pool, I was the only one that got in, and it was only once, to my waist, was not very clean. My daughter, who loves to swim and hubby would not get in. So I felt like I could have spent my money elsewhere and had a pool and/ or a beach for the same money spent. It's unfortunate, as I have recommended this location to many friends and family. The rooms were clean but I had told them it was for a family of 3 and only had 2 towels and 2 face cloths. I was there for 2 night stay and first thing in the morning there was no one around to ask for extras, luckily I had a couple face cloths with me.

The wi-fi barely connected, the pool was filled with dirt and bugs and there were dirty floors in our room. I slid one of the dressers out so I could reach the wall outlet behind, and there were dead bugs and huge dust balls.
The location was fantastic and the staff were excellent. Very efficient check in/out.

Check in area was filled with smell of perfume and was hard to breathe. Pool closed early and was not open until late in the morning so we could not use it. Beds were very uncomfortable. Room was very hot and AC did not work well along with being noisy. Room was expensive for not have anything included like breakfast. Really was not satisfied with the stay at all.

The only thing that we didn’t like was that our tv would cut in and out of stations and our latch on our door was loose so our door didn’t close properly.
The location was perfect for our on the go family. The receptionist was so pleasant and helpful when checking it.
