Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThere was not anything that we disliked.
Large room, comfortable bed and terrific breakfast. Abbeymoore is an older building, fairly well maintained with lots of character. We were given explicit instructions for self check in because we arrived very late.

UkraineThe bathtub was in the room, not in a separate room. def needs some maintenance itself. The water from hot water dispenser tasted like plastic, changed the taste of the tea. I guess more guests drink coffee, so noone really notices.
We had a room on the second floor we a balcony! Loved the park nearby, no need to drive anywhere. There is a castle you can take a tour at within 10 mins drive. If you are driving, parking is available on the premises. Breakfast was nice and different every morning.

CanadaNo room for our truck in their parking lot but did find street parking around the corner.
A beautiful and unique place. We loved the old-style house. It was very warm and inviting. We stayed in the rose room. The bed was very comfortable and a nice-sized clean room. No TV, also no USB plugs so bring your plug-in block. Breakfast was very good, started with a nice warm piece of banana bread with a glass of orange juice, and then they brought out eggs, bacon, and avocado on an English muffin-type bread with a tasty sauce, with asparagus and baby roasted potatoes. (My husband gave me his avocado and asparagus) but it was very good. You can sit inside or outside on the porch. We went down early and had coffee on the porch. The ladies were very nice. We went for a 30-minute walk to the old spaghetti factory for dinner. The next morning after breakfast we walked to the Government House down the street for a nice stroll around the gardens. I would stay again. It was the best B&B I have stayed at.

CanadaIf you're sensitive to noise, be aware that the walls are a little thin - we could hear other people talking in the wee hours of the night. Earplugs could be helpful! We've stayed here before so we know it's an old house with quirks and creaky stairs. Though the present staff are pleasant, we missed the old caretakers who took time to greet their guests, talk about our upcoming day, and tell us what breakfast goodies they'd thoughtfully prepared. It used to make the stay more personal.
We stayed in the Rose Room which is large, has a couch, fireplace and a very comfy king size bed. The bathroom, however, is exceptionally small and only has a stand up shower with a corner toilet. The sink is in the main part of the bedroom, which was actually fairly handy because there definitely wasn't room for 2 in the bathroom! We really enjoyed the breakfast which was tasty, healthy, and beautifully served.

CanadaNot a lot of parking but we always got a spot. I am sensitive to smells and there was a strong scent when we arrived that was probably a cleaner used because it was not as prevalent by the end of the stay.
Wonderful delicious breakfasts that accommodated our dietary restrictions. The room was very clean and comfortable.

CanadaI was in the PrimRose room. The curtains on the window to the left were ripped. I like a firm mattress and the mattress or memory foam they had on the mattress was way too .soft. The lights above the mirror in the bathroom were dusty. It smelt Musty when l walked in the entrance. My room.didnt. I did leave a tip but l would have left a bigger one if everything was good.
Love the old age charm. Cheaper then a hotel, and you get breakfast. The breakfast was delicious Close to the Royal Jubilee Hospital and Hospice. I only got one picture of breakfast because l forgot my phone.
