The owner was pleasant but very fastidious with the cleanliness, so much so it made us feel a little awkward. On arrival the landlady told us that she could upgrade us to a downstairs room, then proceeded to charge us for it. On top of that a charge was levied for cleaning the room, which is a leftover product of covid. Sad really, but we wouldn’t use again.

No TV or computer/printer was available. No guidelines on whether any food, coffee, tea or snacks, etc. were available.

No breakfast available as we left at 4:15 am. The location was convenient for our purposes. The family was very friendly and welcoming. Very helpful in checking in for our air flight and sending to my email.

No hot water and poor pressure in the shower. Room was upstairs with a tight spiral staircase which made it difficult with suitcases. It’s advertised as a B&B, but we had to ask for breakfast which was a piece of dry toast. Host was very disorganized. Host sent a message that our room was ready at lunchtime, our ETA was 6pm, we arrived at 5pm and host seemed angry we were 1 hr early than expected. Parking was on grass, with sprinklers on.

Room was big enough for a couple and clean. Bed was comfortable.

Did not have TV in the room so had to go to a bar/restaurant to watch hockey game. Continental breakfast at hotel would have been better than this B&B offered. Instant coffee?

There was a night we got locked out of the main house since they do “last one in locks the door”. Had trouble getting in touch with someone to unlock the door and the cops ended up getting called 😓

The fact that we were charged an extra 20 dollars fora “hygiene fee” and when we questioned it we were told that it was like a”tip” that you would give to a hairdresser or a waitress. Out of order.

The breakfast is a do-it-yourself! The supplies were a bit thin. A big bunch of bananas were the fruit; no cereals; white bread - basically I made myself toast with peanut butter and jam. We stayed there before so knew what to expect. It is convenient.

Didn't like being dragged out of bed by the owner who practically dressed me to show me the facilities. She was out when we arrived, as we were later than planned as our ferry was delayed. Didn't like the CAD 20 we were forced to pay for a cleaning charge in addition to what we'd paid to stay there. Blinds were broken, and we were told not to leave the patio door open through the night as rats would come in!

Decor was pleasant. Bed was comfortable.

We were disappointed with the minimal breakfast on offer. We have stayed at many B& B's where cooked breakfasts were provided, rather than just bread to make your own toast.

Very friendly, welcoming hostess. Our room was spacious and very clean, as was the bathroom. Loved the location with the dyke and park nearby. Lovely outdoor area. Shuttle to airport provided. Overall we were happy with our stay.

Ahh…now there’s the Achilles heal! The breakfast was nothing at all to write home about! Great hostess, but Vivian would be amazed by the breakfast some B&B’a cook and serve! Look into that aspect and your fine place will improve significantly!

Breakfast!! Oppressive rules.

Breakfast was very basic. Only one choice of cereal. Not allowed to cook even a boiled egg. Bread and one type of jam. Very little choice in fruit. We were asked to leave our suitcases downstairs and take out what we needed as we went! We insisted on taking our cases to our bedroom. The house was beautiful, wonderful location.

we found the owner quite difficult to communicate with and work with. We had attempted to contact her a few times and found it quite difficult to have what we wanted be heard. It was also a bit annoying that we could not bring bags into our rooms.

Breakfast was not provided, but we were free to use the kitchen facilities anytime during the day. Royalty provided shuttle service to the airport. Grocery shopping within walking distance. Bike rental possible.

The extra cleaning fee for « Covid sanitation » did not show up in the original description before payment. When I addressed the issue, I was rebuked as a miserly and cheap person. Sometimes the extra intimacy may not be appreciated. On the other hand, I was offered a haircut and recommended a great place to eat nearby.

There was nothing bad about the stay but it was a weird experience so it is good for travellers to know what to expect. The house was completely dark when we arrived at 8pm. We rang the doorbell and the hostess opened the door and immediately instructed us to take off our shoes. The dim house was full of trinkets and shrines, including a large shrine inside the bedroom. The house rules (no food or shoes allowed in the bedroom and no putting suitcases on the bed) were enforced strictly. We were watched carefully as we arrived and the hostess peeked into the bags we were carrying to make sure they did not contain food. This did not make us feel very welcome or trusted. We were also warned to not move in the bed too much because of a "handicapped person" downstairs right below us. The self-serve breakfast was cornflakes with milk and toast with peanut butter. Also note: there is no parking inside the gate so we parked our rental on the street.

The home is in an upscale neighborhood on the water, close to the airport. We went on a nice evening walk by the water. The quiet, private room was very clean and had a comfortable bed and bathroom. The shower had shampoo, soap, and conditioner and there were clean, white towels provided.
