Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Really good value hotel for our first night’s stay in Belize. We arrived early and were allowed to check in early which was hugely appreciated. I felt the room was exceptionally clean for a budget option and had everything we needed. Good location, easy to walk to great cafes and the bus station.

United StatesWe would really like a mini fridge and some more shelving in the room. We knew before arriving these were not included, but that little upgrade would be awesome!
Location! It's 1 block from the sea wall and very walkable to a LOT of things! Santa Rita archeological site is about a 4 min drive. Supermarket right next door and the best breakfast place 1 block over.

United StatesA few extra lights and/or brighter bulbs in the existing fixtures would help to perk up the room a bit and make it easier to read. Also, a few more electrical plugs spread about the room (especially by the bed and the table/chairs where I worked on my laptop) would be a big help.
The room decor is a little old fashion, but very clean and well maintained. Ample hot water in the shower. The WiFi signal was strong and the connection was fast. Charlie, the owner, is helpful, friendly, and super laid back. A very nice guy to chat with. There is a supermarket right next door for drinks and snacks and some good restaurants just a block or two down the street (I highly recommend Toppa D Mawnin for breakfast!). This place is a very good, no frills option for those traveling long term and trying to keep your budget under control. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever in Corozal.

CanadaI have nothing negative to say about the property.
The hotel is centrally located with restaurants and anything else you might need close by. The rates were reasonable and the room was clean. The staff was always available and very helpful. The owner, Charlie, is doing a tremendous job with his son to provide a nice clean affordable hotel in downtown Corozal. I would definitely stay here again.

Saint LuciaI didn't like that there wasn't a kettle in the room or a complimentary coffee station for guests to access .Also some access to purified water would have been nice. I would recommend that this small detail is added to make for an exceptional stay at the property.
I liked the fact that the exterior and interior was spotless. The place was super clean! Private bathroom had hot water and bath towels and soap were provided. Wifi was strong. Staff were friendly. Check-in and out was smooth. The location was great, easy access to restaurants, stores and park. I would visit again.

United StatesThe city was kind of charming in its own way. Too bad some of the homeowners don't try very hard to keep up their properties. The owner/manager here was also very helpful with choices of where to eat.
We were in transit from Orange Walk to Sartenada and this was a good spot to catch the Thunder-boat from. We really liked this city's walk along the coast and thought it was nice with the park like equipment. The rooms we had felt very secure and they were close enough to where we wanted to go in the city without being right in the bus terminal or other loud sort of place.

United KingdomOverall very pleased, but would have been even better with a bit of breakfast (the café nearby was closed).
Very clean, good AC, nice shower with soap and a bit of shampoo provided, great location (close to the bus station, restaurants, corner stores, the sea, and pretty much everything). If you get to meet the owner, you can also expect a great chat!

United StatesThat we didn't get to stay longer. Going home was a chore. We did have issues with the TV in the room, it was changed out 3 times, but we didn't really go there to just watch the TV, so it wasn't a problem for us.
The security was nice. They have a gate that closes around 9pm so no one can just wander in. The room was small, but that was fine! We didn't spend that much time in it. It was clean, replenished when we needed it and the AC was lovely. The owner was wonderful and very helpful. Staff were polite and respectful.
