The indoor pool needs cleaner, fresher water; it's cloudy, hairy, and can be tacky to the skin after the daily dose of chemicals. Guests seem to be invisible to the lady that empties the bins in this area, who clatters and bangs around, chats loudly to the maintenance staff, leaves the doors open so the wind gusts through and you have to get out and close them after her, seems grumpy and totally indifferent to guests. At breakfast the massage guy comes and introduces himself to everyone - I would think a better marketing strategy is needed here, nobody wants a sales presentation while they are waking up and eating. Cleaning staff show up at 11am, 2pm, whenever, the "please clean my room" tag left on the door doesn't seem to do anything, but they are nice and do a good job; it would be good if they could not park their trolley directly in front of the exit to the stairs, forcing one to squeeze around it. No source of drinking water. The phone in the room doesn't work. The pool pump is very noisy and always on; it would improve the exterior a great deal if some sound barrier were put around it. Steam room is good, but the sauna has no heat at all.

The hotel leads straight on to a quiet end of the very long, peaceful beach. Many cranes, cormorants and other birds fishing in the tidal shallows. From here you can walk to Canasvieiras or up towards Punta Cana. The heated pool is nice but the water needs to be cleaned and filtered better. The outdoor pool is very pleasant. The bar serves pleasant food and drinks. Staff are generally very nice and helpful, especially on reception. Wonderful hotel cat.

Part of the hotel is a bit old (entrance, elevator). But the room with buffet and bedrooms were good.

Super close to the beach, nice breakfast. Enjoyed the room with the view on the third floor.

I called many times to ask for toilet paper and nobody answered, I went to the reception and asked for it again, and when I get back to my room after 4 hours of being out nobody left the toilet paper. My friends called at 11pm to get water and nobody answered, they had to go out to buy it. It’s not possible that your property charge for an ice bucket, what is that??? I have been at too many hotels and no one has ever charged for it. The night staff was very bad, but the others were not bad.

The hotel is pretty old and tired to be honest. Definitely geared more towards families too. Not all of the facilities were open eg. Sauna. Breakfast is really average. Night staff messed up our friend's booking and made them pay again despite having an email confirming they had already paid online.

Great location, on the beach. The hotel will also loan you beach chairs and umbrellas for free. Room with the balcony was nice to get a view of the beach and setting sun.

Photos were definitely not accurate OLD hotel. At the entrance, the hotel seems nice, but the further you go, the more you notice that there was no maintenance throughout the years Mouldy smell.

the access to the beach is great, but it can be tricky for elderly people to reach the sea as there’s a pond in between

the location and the staff. they are lovely and they go the extra mile on everything. I traveled with my elderly mum and she felt safe and really well treated, especially by Aurora. those are the details that make a family gateway unforgettable. really pleased with everything and everyone that made our holiday so special.
