There are some things that need to be fixed or replaced. The toilet seat was attached with plastic straps, and the coffee machine was not working properly as well. The internet was also choppy and sometimes the signal would disappear for a while.

It is really well located and everything was good the washing machine wasn't working I noticed the day before I went out. The rest was great, nice and quiet.

Communication was non-existent. Don't expect any response to messages. Shower was cold, fridge broken. But at this price, you get what you pay for.

Check-in was messy. The location is on the hilltop and most of the uber drivers refuse to get you there. It took me 15-40 minutes to find an uber driver. So whenever I needed a quicker lift I had to go down the stairs (15 minutes walk down to the famous stairs)

The location is a bit up in the hills, so taxicabs sometimes cancel rides. But it compensare it with beautiful views!

It was quite loud, I could hear the other guests throughout the night. Also the street is really loud, I couldn't sleep without ear plugs. What I also didn't like was the extra cleaning fee, which I only saw after booking. I don't understand why it's not in the initial price, I wouldn't have booked otherwise as I thought it was €20 cheaper. Seems a bit of a shady price tactic to me. Lastly, I didn't appreciate the employee at the checkout watching me struggle to carry my 3 bags down the 3 sets of stairs by myself.

I liked the apartment generally, it was mostly like in the pictures and everything for the kitchen was there, that was great! A short walk away is the "center" of Santa Teresa, the streets are amazing and colourful!

I thought the price for the apartments was too high, it is sold on the views of Rio but the apartment was nothing exceptional, it was ok, and getting to and from the city is a chore as it is up a very steep hill and walking is a big effort so paying for a taxi is almost obligatory

All the amenities were working, even though the fridge and cooker looked old , the room sizes were also good, the cleaning service was good when they came, and the staff were friendly when they were around

The location was on a steep hillside. Walking to the metro or restaurant downtown the hill and back up again can be challenging.

The unit is bare bones. It is functional but there are no niceties. There's nothing on the walls, which need painting,. There are only ceiling lights, Guests are required to take out their trash and wash their dishes before they leave. Normally this is not a problem and something we try to always do. However, we had to rewash everything we used in the kitchen and there is no elevator and the trash bin is located outside of the building so you will probably need to do a separate trip.

This is a good location for staying in Santa Teresa, which we loved. There was a good view from one of the bedrooms and the living room. Good value for cost. A functional 2 bedroom. It was quiet.

Our flight was late and they wanted to charge us an extra R$120 late check in fee to be paid in cash for arriving after 9:00 pm despite our proactive communication; even when the person who met us lived in the same building. When we didn't have cash on arrival and told them to bill us through booking we never heard anything more. One of the beds was weak or sagging. The water was very hot in the bathroom sink, but only warm in the shower (never hot). There was a smell of urine present when we arrived and evidence of a mold problem. The location was awkward with no grocery store, restaurants or shopping nearby, just a small corner store and the streets were narrow and steep. The rent was high, but that was related to Carnaval as everywhere was high.

Communication was good, the accommodations were as advertised.

The building had no water for 3 days and we were promised every day that the water truck would come to fill the tank. I also had to change apartment because the AC was not working.

Just worth being aware that transport around Santa Teresa can be pretty tricky with Ubers etc. We ended up waiting for a while on some occasions and (we were told) Ubers don’t always like to come up as the roads are very steep and narrow.

Incredible view, well equipped apartment. Comfortable bed, air con worked well and was much needed! Was helpful that we were able to check in early (although at an extra cost). The area felt pretty safe during the day time and there are some lovely bars/restaurants nearby (Bonde Boca and Bar Armazém São Thiago) being a couple of them!

Beautiful apartment with breathtaking views! Great location, safe, close to tourist attractions, grocery store, coffeeshop, restaurants. It was very calm over the weekdays and a bit noisy on weekend nights as people had fun outside.

Everything else. First of all the management is extremely unfriendly and this is just a money grab for them. Extra charge for every little thing that should have been included in the price anyway that is also not upfront, absolutely no sense of hospitality or integrity whatsoever. It’s like flying with low cost airline and then having to pay extra for a seat, baggage, food etc except this property does not tell you all these charges AFTER you have booked and cannot cancel. Check in and check out are extremely intrusive, you have to show up at a certain exact time and there are so many cleaning requirements you need to follow like you are an actual long term tenant. And then they charge you an extra cleaning fee anyway! This experience solidified for me that no place however seemingly fancy is ever worth being subject to the harassment of these greedy landlords (not hosts!) especially when you are travelling. Secondly the place looks like a pirated version of the photos when you actually get in there. The place is old, no where near the high specs impression you get from the photos. Furniture are used/ unkept, utensils dirty, surfaces dusty and the most disgusting part is the bathroom. There is so much mould, grout and water stain everywhere. The toilet seat is so poorly fitted with zip ties (!!!) that you end up sitting on the actual bowl even when you have the seat down. Considering the bowl was never cleaned it is really disturbing and I ended up spending my holiday cleaning for this apartment. The water tap is so lose it looks like it can break down at any time - something that I am sure the property manager will jump at the first chance at charging you extra. The bed is also unclean - all the bedding and towels’ cotton have shedded because they are very poor quality, very thin and looks like they have been used for 15 years. You can’t really clean them anymore but could only mask the scent with some perfume.

135 degree views of the Sugarloaf and Rio, but that’s it. If you are visiting, you are not staying inside the whole day anyway, there really is no point to book a place just for its views.
