How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Room was small and somewhat outdated. I did like the small balcony that overlooked the bay and Luz Bridge.
Excellent location for walking to downtown and the historic center. Nice breakfast buffet.

The check in took a bit longer than expected Although it was not a concern, the noise from the near by express way could be lower with better insulation.
The room is large, good bed and pillows, clean and clear. The breakfast is very good, with variety of fruits, cakes and bread. I will return next time.

They need to clean their facilities. The room and the entire hotel itself needs cleaning. Full of dust everywhere.

1) Property was filthy. The first room I was given had stains on the sheets and fungus growing in drains. The supposed clean towels replaced during the stay had stains. 2) The location is right above a busy highway, and the noise is terrible. It was impossible to sleep well with loud noises of cars passing. The room was not adequately sound-proofed. The location requires airport hotel-level sound proofing. 3) The full size bed was 2 twins pushed together with a big dip in the middle. It was very uncomfortable. Sheets were rough and bedding was inadequate. 4) The location is terrible. While there is a pretty view of the bay, there is not an easy and safe way to walk into town to go to a restaurant. 5) The breakfast was not reliable--big differences from day to day. 6) The tap water in Florianópolis is not potable, and unlike other hotels, they do not provide courtesy drinking water. I travel to Florianópolis frequently and will not stay there again.
The location was secure and on some days the breakfast was good. On other days, they did not even have functioning coffee machines for breakfasts.

The bed, the noise, the broken elevator. The facilities were too old for the money, especially elevators and halls. The room smells weird. They have a lack of maintenance.
Location and the shower. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was ok.

The view is beautiful however the highway in front of the hotel it’s very busy and noisy. It’s not good for relax cause the sounds outside. The hotel looks like need enhancements about everything inside.

VERY OLD HOTEL, NEDED MAINTAINCE. THERE WERE HOLES IN THE WALLS, ELEVATOR BROKEN, RECEPTION HAD ROOF ISSUES.

Hotel needs urgent improvements. Internet does not work in the room (we spoke to reception without success). Breakfast with old products, in urgent need of a person to manage the products on offer. Old elevator in need of maintenance. Hotel generally abandoned. I stayed at the hotel for 3 days and would not recommend it to anyone else.
Privileged location, but far from good restaurants.

the staff didn't help me recovering my cellphone charger that I forgot at my room when I left. I called and registered a message on booming.com but didn't received any response about it.

The staff was nice. However someone knocked on my door and didn't wait for me to open the door. this staff member opened the door when I was getting ready without giving me the chance to go to the door and open it. I felt very embarrassed and felt that I didn't have privacy. This person came in just to check what was consumed from the fridge and it was 10:45am and the check out was only at 12pm. Why would someone get into the room if the booking was not completed? This makes no sense at all. Anyways, hope the hotel management team improves it so they can continue to attract more tourists, otherwise people are gonna start choosing other options. And the wifi was terrible, I needed to reconnect it a lot of times.
I loved the breakfast and the room was very clean.
