The gym was very minimal. If you want to get a good workout in, this is not the place.

The view from the restaurant and pool are amazing. There is a small beach nearby which is also amazing. The staff was very kind and the room was very spacious. Good airconditioning as well.

My room window didn’t close properly, the room is humid and lacks noise isolation. The staff doesn’t speak English. I was told that the breakfast is until 11:00 am and when I showed at the restaurant it was closing at 10 am leaving me literally 3 minutes to grab and eat. The breakfast egg service is extremely slow. I had wait 30 minutes to get simple fried eggs. The sauna doesn’t work, the gym is under equipped.

The pool area is very nice and the sea view was beautiful. Tiago at the reception arranged for me the valet parking in a very friendly way. The breakfast staff, allowed me to grab food and Returned many nourishments to the serving tables for me to breakfast notwithstanding with the fact that they were closing In 3 minutes.

The hotel is a bit ageing, especially the rooms, they might need a refresh of style.

Typical Mercure hotel in a very nice neighbourhood of Salvador, Rio Vermelho, at walking distance from many bars and restaurants. The neighbourhood is safe to walk even at night, because it is where people go out.

It was difficult to navigate service because there were no English instructions or staff did speak English. Could not find information for food menu or spa services due to language barrier. I wished I knew some Portuguese.

We had a great stay. Nothing that we didn’t like

Fantastic staff and amazing facilities. We were very pleasantly surprised with the breakfast and the pool area. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and we had everything we needed for a good holiday stay. I felt like this would be a great hotel for a work vacation. The beach right next to the hotel is also great and there are a lot of stores and restaurants nearby.

The pool is full of mosquitos. Maybe this is just a normal thing, but it was definitely not cleaned overnight, and some guests left some trash on the tables so it was completely full of mosquitos by the pool. The pool was also not cleaned in the morning, so not way to take a bath. At Salvador, 8 AM in the morning is already warm enough for a bath outside! What I did not like from the breakfast: If you love expressos, beware they only have these big nespresso machine (but somehow not the good one). They have a capuccino machine from 3 Coracoes which for me is the best, but they add too much sugar in it. One last thing I did not like in the bathroom: why did they designed the tolets twards the wall instead of the mirror? It somehow fits people bellow 1,60m, I would guess. It is really annoying to use it 45 degrees.

Perfect location for Salvador! Rio Vermelho is one of the busiest neighborhoods in the night. It is far enough from the sound but close enough for a short walk to the hotel if you drink. There is also a lot of cops close by making sure the whole place is good watched. The breakfast is amazing! They do tapiocas with the ingredients you choose (which for me was the highlight). It was by far the best breakfast I had in Brazilian northeast shore. I also loved the cleaness, the room itself, the bed, matress and the pillow!

The sea in front of the hotel is polluted and unsuitable for swimming. Due to the salty environment, the property requires minor repairs. The ratio price-quality could be better.

The property is located in front of the ocean. It is surrounded by nature and has a beautiful landscape. The neighborhood offers quality restaurants, bars, and stores. The rooms are comfortable. The restaurant offers local cuisine with an ample variety of dishes. The staff is kind and helpful.

The reception process was confuse, certainly because they were changing the system Waited a lot for check-in, and I have NOT YET received my receipt by email, after more than 3 days waiting! And the reception did not answer the phone while in the room, the number listed by the phone is not the one they use
