Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyI was given a wrong room, but they have tried to resolve it quickly.
Great location, right at the beach! The are 2 swimming pools available - inside and outside. The restaurant also has nice food. The staff is friendly and helpful

United StatesSo the communal surfer vibe is definitely unique by American/European standards. Apparently its fairly common in Brazil though. It's not quite a hostel, but it's also not a "typical" hotel, so be sure to read your room description carefully. I really liked it, but the shared shower/toilet and lack of "hotel amenities" might be an unwelcome surprise for those unprepared. The facilities are super clean and private with full length doors for the spacious, individual stalls - similar to a high-end fitness center locker room. Also, there were no towels in my room. Getting the local Uber drivers to take you to the property is a bit of a pain, especially at night.
This is a great value, with direct access to both the lake and the famous Praia Mole Surfing Beach (and excellent Bar Do Deca gay beach club). The shared facilities were spotless and largely deserted, though I think this is a very summer season destination. It's a really cool concept and vibe. One day I would love to organize a large group trip here, a la Aspen Gay Ski Week (Floripa Gay Surf Week) where the range of suites, individual rooms, and shared stall showers and toilets would be an asset. This could be a killer spring break location for the adventurous, and the price was fantastic.

UruguayThe menu on the restaurant was super limited. There’re no places to have dinner right there, surely you need to move, we visited around 31sr December and the time you take (driving) to somewhere was around 30 - 60’, so be patient on these dates.
In front of mole beach. Is a hard wave beach so you need to take care, but is really beautiful. The hotel is comfortable and the stuff is cordial

United StatesBreakfast was not included, which was disappointing. They required me to wear a wristband, yet it didn’t entitle me to anything and was uncomfortable. The window in my room faced another window, which made for questionable privacy.
The location was good. The grounds were pretty with lots of beautiful vegetation. I loved the artwork on the wall in my room.

BrazilThe room lacked ventilation, and therefore it was very humid and it smelled musty. Even the clothes in my bag were getting humid. The bathroom had none ventilation (not even an exaustor or something similar). For me this was the worst part of the experience as it was not pleasant to stay in the room. The attention at the restaurant was also not very pleasant, and the dinner options were extremely limited.
The hotel is super nice, right in front of Mole beach (one of the best in Florianópolis). The swimming pool was great, big and with a lot of nature around, perfect for after the beach. The rooms are nicely decorated and very spacious. The hotel is close to other beaches and to Lagoa. Although there are no stores or restaurants open at night, there are several places nearby.

TurkeyI did not have the opportunity to stay at the hotel on the night I reserved. This is the only hotel that I should stay in the whole trip. I did not see the rooms. However I had a breakfast in the morning. The hotel outside, garden pool leisure area was fantastic. Amazing

CanadaAlthough the location is close to the beaches we wanted to visit, there are only a few restaurants in the area.
The property is very beautiful and it is a walking distance from the Mole Beach and Galheta Beach. The staff was super friendly, especially Theo - he was always available and whenever we had an issue, he would fix it in a very timely manner.

AustraliaIt was very badly signposted - the Uber driver dropped me off the Hotel Selina as he thought that was the cabanas. There is no arrow on the sign on the road indicating the need to go down the stony road. It was difficult to get into the property through the gate as was not given the gate code ahead of arrival - I ended up having to walk down the stone rock road with all my luggage from the hotel Selina. Another night, an uber driver couldn’t get out of the gate and I had to go back up to gate to let him out and then walk 10 mins down the stony road again in the dark. The property needs a golf cart to assist those with luggage who don’t come by car.
Very peaceful, nice bird life, next to lake and away from the exuberant partying youth at the Hotel Selina. The reception staff were the most friendly and helpful that I met in Brazil.

PortugalThe room had a nice view but the facilities are a little outdated, especially the bathroom. In addition, the accommodation could provide some amenities such as a kettle/coffee maker, and hygiene products such as shampoo, body lotion, etc. The number of towels provided is also a little low for beach accommodation.
Location: very close to the mole beach. The area is very quite and beautiful. The view is fabulous. There is, nevertheless, no grocery or supermarket nearby. Also, most restaurants, except one, close before 20h. Bus station is also very close. Breakfast room is very relaxing and the staff is very friendly. The pool area is also very nice and peaceful.

GermanyEverything was fine. Something to keep in mind is that the cabanas are located on a hillside; which might make it difficult for elderly people or people with a physical handicap. If you bring your car, you can drive it also inside the compound.
Although some parts of the compound are a little bit aged, the overall impression is that it is well maintained and you can see people working and upkeeping the facilities at all time. Staff is more then friendly and helpful and can be reached easily through WhatsApp what also helps to overcome a language barrier in case you don’t speak Portuguese . As I stayed in low season, the compound was very empty with I lay a few guests, which I found very relaxing. It is only a few steps away from the beach and the lakeview is very nice too! Ir is good to know that the hotel shares a road with Selina hotel (keep right) as Selina hotel is more visible from the road.
