The location is amazing, right next to rua das piedras, this pousada offers you proximity to all the main atractions in Buzios! Very cozy atmosphere to enjoy and relax! The breakfast is delicious! The staff is really nice, always willing to help!

The rooms are quite noisy, you can easily her the neighbors with kids and people on the streets.

The steps can be an issue for some people. I have bad knees but was still able to handle it, but some might not be able to. They are helpful carrying bags if needed. Everything else was wonderful!!!!

Absolutely adorable accommodation with great food, the most friendly and helpful staff, and right in town next to the beach.

While we can't evaluate all the room's AC units, I believe Hotel Vila do Mar could enhance the guest experience by upgrading their indoor split air conditioning units. This improvement would contribute to a more comfortable stay.

We appreciated the hotel's layout, the friendly and attentive staff, the wonderful breakfast options, and the perfect location, which made staying here so enjoyable. Each of these elements contributes to a welcoming and comfortable experience for guests.

Due to the location at the beach, there was some noise from people partying.

Gorgeously maintained with a lot of taste. Had a great time there, even though it was raining a lot. Affordably priced food and drinks. Super nice staff, even though only a few were speaking English. Great location very close to the beach.

The only thing I didn’t like was the bed, it was super super hard. You can definitely hear the party all around you, so if you want a quiet stay, maybe bring some ear plugs.

Would recommend Pousada Vila do Mar to anyone! It’s a beautiful property right in the heart of Búzios. The staff is wonderful, breakfast is good, and the rooms are spacious. We spring for a suite with a beach view and could watch each sunset from our room - spectacular!

As it is an old property, there were some issues with bugs and lizards coming in through the door, roof. Despite the staff gave us repellents, bugs and mosquitos still entered the room.

Location was great! Staff were always willing to help.

The location is top notch and it is very cozy, very green and the staff was super friendly. Big thanks to Marcia who checked us in and gave tips on what to do and where to eat. Enjoyed the breakfast too (juice and jam were tasty). Just be prepared to climb some stairs.

the whole hotel us built on a steep hill so you need to be quote fit to negotiate all the steps up and down to the hotel - and to your room. remember to hand your key in to request room servicing. one of the air conditioners was a bit noisy. the pool and sun deck are not very large.

we were welcomed by Lucas at reception who was very helpful and charming throughout our stay. our suite had a stunning view over the bay and was very comfortable. breakfast was excellent and the service quite charming.

We had to change rooms due to termites eating out the wood and littering on the bed. In t’room #3 the tv had no channels (could use smart tvs in the rooms), a light switch didn’t work, the warm water faucet in the sink didn’t work, build-up clogged the shower head (I cleaned it) and the AC had either a weak battery or other issues and turning on/off and changing modes was difficult.

We liked the location and the friendliness of the staff. The breakfast and the decorations in the pousada and in the rooms.

They don’t have hairdryer. there’s no parking but they have discount with a private parking 5min walking.

location location location!! Room and bedsheets super clean!! Free drinks as courtesy!!! The property is very unique as a gem hidden in downtown. like forest!!! Amazing view from the room number 3!

due to the old styled lay out of the hotel, there are some small gaps under the doors and on the roof leading to bugs coming into your room and into your bed. breakfast is a set menu so might not like what you get due to the location being so good, unfortunately at night time it can get very loud going on until 6/7am, out of the hotels control
