This is a small pousada with cozy rooms, some with a terrace and hammock. Super clean & comfortable bedrooms with high quality beds. The breakfast is incredible and different every day: you always have a fresh juice, eggs, tapioca, cakes and many other delicatessen to start off the day right! Ricardo was a great host and made every effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Everything was above our expectations — we extended our stay and ended up staying 9 days. Highly recommend staying here!

Birleşik Krallık60 değerlendirme10 faydalı oy“Quaint Pousada with filling breakfast in Barra Grande”The room was a little humid at night and there was no mosquito net on the bed considering the doors and windows had little gaps in them (letting some mosquitoes in). Considering the number of mosquitoes in Brazil, I would have thought all Pousadas should have windows/doors that close properly or at least mosquito nets on the bed. The bed sheets and covers didn't seem that clean and there was a lot of dust in some places in the room. The WiFi was a little slow in the room as the router was in a separate building (I'd recommend they install some WiFi extenders). Direct contact with the Pousada via WhatsApp was a little slow and sometimes unresponsive which was frustrating.
The Pousada was beautiful with a great colour scheme (yellow & blue)! It was a pleasure eating breakfast each morning next to the pool, and the breakfast selection changed each day which felt refreshing. The staff weren't that clued up on what was vegan and what wasn't, but generally there were plenty of choices for breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful and allowed a slightly later checkout. The location is fantastic too, close to the main town yet quiet at night.

Fransa2 değerlendirme“Best place in Barra Grande”Best breakfast we had in our trip, and the place is really new so everything was working perfectly. Ricardo and Angelo were also very nice and the reception was well organized, they had nice tips for our stay and also great suggestions for restaurants and beaches to go. I recommend this place for anyone who wants to know Barra Grande. Location is pretty near everything. Thanks a lot for the reception Angelo and Ricardo!!

Birleşik Krallık14 değerlendirme2 faydalı oy“Underwhelming stay”The mosquitoes are an issue and because there are no screens on any doors or windows (they’re slats) you couldn’t open them to air the room or provide a view. No mosquito nets either, although Christian did kindly provide us with a homeopathic spray to use during our stay. It was difficult to use the hammock for this reason too. The bed sheets do not fit the mattress, they’re too small, so you’re forever remaking the bed. The breakfast staff and Christian were polite, no-one speaks any English and they had difficulty understanding my Portuguese pronunciations. The breakfast set up is not typically Brazilian where you help yourself to a buffet, it’s brought to you bit by bit at your table. I’d already communicated ahead of time that I have an allergy to bananas, yet bananas were given to us fried, and then I questioned a yoghurt served and again that contained bananas. They should take this more seriously. The guy (manager?) who checked us in was less than helpful, I do not know his name as he didn’t introduce himself. He provided no information about the area, things to do etc. There was immediately an issue at check in as we had had our credit cards cloned so the remaining balance of our payment could not be taken on the same card. We tried to explain but he seemed frustrated and inconvenienced by it. It all felt very transactional and as we had just left an amazing pousada in Taipu do Fora the differences in welcome and professionalism were glaringly obvious. We chose this pousada because of the fabulous reviews about the staff. Maybe they were having a bad few days, but we didn’t feel welcome and wouldn’t recommend a stay here.
The pool was clean and water was provided free of charge so you can refill your water bottles to keep down plastic. Pillows were comfortable too.
