The showers are a bit tricky but we made it work.

Love this place. It’s pretty unique as the only way to get to it is via the beach. We had room 10 which had the most incredible views. Lukas was fab and looked after us. Make sure you pay the guys at the pier to take your luggage there and back as you have to walk through the sea at parts of the beach to get there.

Nothing, all was perfect.

The location was incredible, right beside the best beach near Abraao (Praia da Julia). Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was GREAT! The location is a bit quieter than the centre of Abraao (but only a few min walk away). And the best of all was the room and the view from room 10!

Unbeatable location right on the beach, tucked down at one end so away from the business of the main port area. The views from our balcony were out of this world. Comfortable beds, clean and great to have a fridge in our room.

Lovely small property less than five mins walk along the beach from the ferry. Couple restaurants/ bars close by but it’s a nice and peaceful area compared to the centre and near the ferry. Staff friendly and helpful. My room was simple but clean and comfortable with a good shower. Nice selection at breakfast with fresh fruits.

The nightclub on the other side can be a little bit noisy at night, depending on the wind. It didn't impact on our sleep or enjoyment of the accommodation.

We had room 10, and it was gorgeous! On the beach front, with a huge balcony which was great to have a morning coffee or afternoon beer to enjoy the amazing view. Great location.. Staff were kind, welcoming and helpful. Would absolutely stay again

There’s some noise at night from a hostel nearby. It’s not their fault, and it didn’t bother us too much. The nearby hostel, however, should be more respectful to their neighbors.

Just remember that you are in a tropical environment and that you can expect bugs in your room. They’re not dangerous or anything. Just make sure you don’t leave your windows open with the lights on.

The Girassol Pousada was amazing. We had a beautiful and spacious room with a terrasse facing the ocean. The view was beautiful! The bathroom is very clean and modern, the A/C is perfectly working and you can even watch Netflix on the TV. The breakfast was simple but very good and we were close to a bar and the city but far enough to be able to sleep at night without any problem.

The great thing about thing about the pousada is it’s on the beach but one error I made was not getting one of the official porters at the dock to take my luggage. Most of the route to the posada is on paths but the last bit is over sand. Worth the dragging of the case but would have been easier in the porter’s trolley

Incredible sea views from my hammock where I laid back, read a book and relaxed. The pousada is really lovely - super friendly staff, clean room with a great shower and the veranda off my room with hammock and sofa was wonderful.

We felt so welcomed here, Cristiano and Rodrigo made our stay perfect, finding us tours and even preparing a birthday cake for a member of our family 🥰 it was amazing. Ihla grande is beautiful and food is great

Air conditioning might need to be upgraded for better quietness. Better to add shampoo to the bathroom. "Do not disturb" and "Please Come In" card will help.
