The place is Nice. Even if the trip did not start the best way, the manager has found some solution.

The A/C was very noisy, and the shower was cold even when the staff said it have to be hot. I don't know if it's was broken. Despite that it's always hot in Ilha Grande, so you can shower in cold water.

Hotel is well located, 5 minutes walk from the center. In general it is very good, commfortable and the staff was great. Also we have problems to get to the island and could make it to our first night and they didn't charge for it.

Lovely little place! The Pousada Paloma ist a small hotel with a very relaxed atmosphere, simple yet comfortable rooms, fantastic breakfast prepared from some lovely ladies and very friendly staff at the reception. It’s in a quiet area of town but only 3 minutes walk from the beach. The breakfast area doubles as a pasta restaurant at night where you can eat at a 10% discount and the food is good.

The restaurant is the clear focus of this Pousada and is VERY noisy. We ate there and the food was amazing but the servers were incredibly rude and mean. The woman who runs this was also quite rude to my husband when he asked for some ice and couple glasses. We came here because we had such an incredible time at another Pousada and decided to stay another night in Ilha Grande but they were booked. The wonderful woman working that Pousada recommended this one, and while it was fine for a night, the entire time we wished we were back at the other one. Really really overpriced for what this place offers.

The location is great and the room itself was great for a quick one night stay, with a comfortable bed and a working AC.

Unfortunately there was a power cut just before our stay so the aircon wasn't working which did make our room feel quite warm!

The best part of staying at this pousada is the restaurant attached to it - super busy as it's super delicious, would definitely recommend! Very friendly and knowledgable team.

A bit noisy in during dinner time in the evening. We were getting up early for a morning hike and could not fall asleep easily. Cold shower in the morning.

Nice and clean room. Super friendly staff. The owner Carla was informative and helpful during our stay. Nice outdoor shower that we were allowed to use after our hike after checkout.

The staff were excellent and very helpful. The restaurant was also very good. The location was decent. It is a short walk to the beach but about 7 minutes to the ferry and 5 minutes to the town center.

The walls are mouldy but is understandable due to the humidity in the area. It would be nice to have a night stand on both sides of the bed.

The value for the price is good compared to other options in the area. Remember you are in a still non developed island after all. The breakfast includes eggs, fruit, cake, coffee and juice which is sufficient. They can store your luggage after check in and you can shower there before you leave the island which is nice to take advantage of the day if you are leaving late afternoon.

Worn bed that sunk in the middle. Luke warm shower. Experienced a few power outages in a short space of time. Breakfast was good, however, small portions.

The wifi isn't great in the rooms, you need to go upstairs to the restaurant to use their wifi for a good signal. Our bathroom door was broken so you couldn't close it.

The pousada is very pretty, with a nice garden as you walk in, and some swinging chairs to sit on outside. There's a shower and hose at the door to clean off any sand after the beach. It's a 7 min walk to the port where you get the boat to, great location. Our room was clean, the bed was comfy. There's air conditioning, a dehumidifier and a fan too to keep the room cool. There's a nice restaurant too which does lots of types of raviolis, and you get a 15% discount as a guest. Breakfast is good, it's buffet style with lots of different sliced fruits, a home made cake changes daily, you get brought a basket of different breads, sliced cheese and ham. You can also ask for eggs. Staff are really friendly and give great info about things to do on the island.

Our room was located right below the aforementioned restaurant so it did get a bit noisy during the restaurant's opening hours (18:00-22:00)

The receptionist Carla is very helpful and speaks English fluently. In the evening the dining room of the hotel transforms into a restaurant, serving delicious Italian dishes and great cocktails at reasonable prices, so you don't have to venture far to find yourself a tasty dinner.

Not a dislike but it has a restaurant in the property and it is very popular, if you want a very quiet stay it can get very busy, which didn’t bother me.

staff was very nice and friendly. we had an amazing staying in this pousada. Carla was very helpful and explained everything that we needed to know an the property and the island. As we had a last minute reservation we needed to change rooms the second night, however, Carla made sure everything went well and we didn’t need to worried about anything.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend booking the economy room because: 1) The room had an extreme unpleasant smell - it was like the walls were wet and moulding. Also, the sink in the bathroom was smelling very badly the whole time. (See picture from walls) 2) The room is underneath the kitchen, there is constant noise (and not very quite) from cleaning dishes, cooking etc. (Starts at 6.30/7am until 11.30/12pm). 3) The room has just a window to the back facing directly towards a wall - fresh air is not coming through here since above the wall the kitchen of the restaurant is located. (See picture) Overall, we’d not come back.

Great breakfast and very well located on the island. Support of staff for transport from/to Rio was good.
