Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

SerbiaEven though the location is perfect, to bear in mind that it is some 10 km away from most important museums od historic centre of Rio de Janeiro, likewise it is some km away or from the Lapa entairtainment area. In my room I had a horrible yard view, instead of sea view which I hoped for. No courtesy water in the room. Wi fi was rather poor, I had to reconnect dozen times per day, it was almost impossible to finish a letter without reconnecting, let alone watch a movie online. Finally, the hotel did not make a wake up call on the third morning, as a result of which i missed the breakfast and was slightly late for the check out
The Location is absolutely perfect for tourists, it’s right on Atlantic Avenue of the Copacabana beach, with all the advantages being next to the iconic Copacabana. There are supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants around, it’s next corner to famous termas. Good security and experienced staff. Excursions were suggested. The hotel gives courtesy pen and paper, which looks very nice TV has news broadcast in English, Spanish, Portuguese. The hotel is somewhat above average. Wake up call were ok for 2 nights and missed on the third.

AustriaIt's sad that a hotel of this quality does not provide good quality coffee; after all, this is Brazil, one of the world's largest producers! I watched the staff refill one of those awful coffee machines with a mix of powdered coffee, powdered milk, and sickly sweetener from a commercial provider. If you want decent coffee, unfortunately you won't find it here.
I strongly recommend that you try the hotel restaurant for lunch or dinner. Better quality and better prices than anywhere nearby. And they still make the best caparinhas, bar none!

After a disappointing experience with another accommodation, we were searching for a beachfront hotel and happened to walk into Olinda without a prior online booking. From the very first moment, Mr. Pitanga made us feel at home. He went above and beyond to assist us in every possible way. Thanks to his kindness and professionalism, we instantly felt a connection with the hotel. Our room was exactly as requested — clean, comfortable, and beautifully arranged. The entire hotel was spotless, and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. The rest of the hotel staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly. Even though English is not widely spoken in Brazil, the entire Olinda team made a real effort to communicate with us and ensure we had a pleasant stay. I highly recommend this hotel to any tourist visiting Rio. Its beachfront location is perfect for beach days, and there are plenty of local food spots and evening street stands with clothing and other local products right nearby. Thank you to Olinda Rio Hotel for making our trip unforgettable!
