How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The gin & tonic was not good - far too weak, in the wrong type of glass & no ice - they did provide some when I asked. I suggest if offering mixed drinks then the staff needs better tr aining
Apparently we had not booked beforehand (& on arrival we could not find the booking so couldn't have done) but the very nice receptionist got us a room. They stored a bag for us for 4 days whilst we went to the Pantanal. The lovely receptionist also helped with sorting the drinks order

The safe in the room did not work

Location was only 10 min from the airport. Staff was friendly and helpful. I arrived a bit late at night and they were still very kind. Hotel was very nice and clean! My room was totally sufficient for one night. The shower was great!! Breakfast in the morning was good, lots of options.

We used this hotel as a stopover on the way to the airport from the wetlands and were very pleasantly surprised by it. The staff were really friendly and spoke great english, breakfast was amazing and the rooms were big, clean and comfortable (lovely big beds with good quality sheets). It was everything we needed!

Its a nice comfortable hotel with a nice room and bed and shower. Everything worked well and reception was nice and helpful. It was a 5-10 minute uber ride to the restaurant and bars but the location was still nice.

Pillows were hard.
Restaurant was very good. We had dinner and breakfast. Dinner was very good, wait staff was excellent!

Balcony rooms (slightly more expensive than standard) are smaller and face the busy main road so are very noisy. We asked to be moved and were given a standard room at the rear which was a lot quieter.
Excellent breakfast with lots of choices. Modern, clean room. Polite friendly staff on reception and restaurant. Good location near the airport for overnight stay. Great value for money.

Little bit far away from amenities but accessible via Uber or bus
Friendly helpful staff. Able to check in early due to early arrival for small fee. Which included us being able to access breakfast. Very comfortable room suitable for our requirements

The room was large with a nice seating area and a small kitchenette..The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was on the small size but modern. The breakfast was great with a wide variety of food. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Carlos Eduardo threw me out of the hotel, was insulting. yelled at me and disrespectful. I have a video. They served an overcooked filet mignon that I requested "rare" and did not eat. The front desk staff agreed it was overcooked. The manager, Carlos Eduardo, said that I should pay for the dish because they cooked it. I put a comment in Google maps saying this and that the front desk staff was great and on Wednesday, Oct 30, when I was working in the Mezzanine - Floor1- Carlos Eduardo confronted me violently, and kicked me out of the Hotel. I videoed part of his tantrum. I never raised my voice. I deleted my Google maps review to give him a chance to mend things up, but the individual never called back.
