Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BrazilThe receptionist was not friendly at all. Extremely noisy because of reception and groups all there. The stopper of the door of our room was not working, so need to use a rock behind the door to hold it. The place to leave the bags, not so safe because anyone can exchange bags or get your things because the bags are not identified.
The location is perfect. Was very clean and smelling good. Amazing that breakfast was included. The place to leave luggage and able to take show after was very helpful.

BrazilThe breakfast is not in the same place, it's located in another facility of Lonier. Although it is close, when it's raining is not so pleasant to go. Only one power outlet in the room was not broken. All the others were broken or not well fixed on the wall. The faucet was not adapted to the sink (not easy to open and close the faucet).
Location: it's easy to find and located in the heart of the village. Good breakfast. Nice staff. Comfy bed. The room had a good size.

BelgiumYou need earplugs if you are a light sleeper. You can hear everything outside. At 4:30 every morning a garbage truck stops outside, most of the time only for 5 minutes, but it is very loud. From people getting sick to cats meowing, you hear everything. Also, the door lock is very temperamental. We managed to lock ourselves inside because the door opened AND closed again all with the lock tongue out and the key in the lock. The lock is not very secure. The hotel itself always has someone on reception so it's not a big issue. We had to lock the door at night because without it being locked it would just open by itself. Minor things - no shampoo, didn't open the shutters on the windows due to them looking out on the street and the bed is very squeaky.
Breakfast is great. Location is fine. Staff are nice. Warm at night and had more space than the photos.

GermanyIt is a really dirty place, cobwebs everywhere in ceiling, broken bathroom window and holes in the wall around air conditioning. Without earplugs you will not sleep with the air conditioning on too. Kinda sad also that paid for a room with bidet, and a view, but do not get either. The breakfast is fine too. Though when looking to take a piece of fruit with me out to have later i was scolded by the staff which is pretty bizarre.

I really like the location and you feel like you are in the middle of a jungle- very authentic ☺️ The breakfast is amazing they have fruits, eggs and loooot of cakes 🎂 The staff was very helpful and nice They have outside shower which is very useful

United KingdomWe arrived a few hours after the check in time and our room still wasn’t ready which after a long day of travel wasn’t great. The AC unit in our room also didn’t work well so the room got extremely hot and humid with zero ventilation. It also isn’t the cleanest looking room - not sure if this is the general pattern across the island but i wouldn’t recommend. Also breakfast was very limited.

DenmarkIt was not clean when we arrived. Spiders web and dust many places and the smell in the room was bad. The toilet door couldn’t lock. It was in general a very loud area and we had to sleep with ear plugs. I will not recommend it and we will not come back.
Not a lot to be honest. The breakfast was nice and the location is close to everything but also really noisy.
