Everything except for the language barriers was great

It was and clean facility…, But I think that is important in a hotel for all reception staff to speak English, as well as their own language and probably in South America Spanish too. I find it very deplorable that in Brazil, they pride themselves and speaking a language that only two countries speak. I guess that’s OK but if you’re working tourism, you need to speak a little bit more than Portuguese and for some reason the attitude of the people even those who work in tourism is that they don’t have to speak another language. Is Brazil open international tourism ?

Only for one night. Room was very clean , organized. My intention was only to spend one night to pick up another fligh next day. Good cost benefit. Organization, cleaning and Service.

The bathroom was old with rusty fixtures and fittings and a leaky shower. Slow check-in process. It felt over-priced.

Excellent location right by the airport. Very friendly check in staff member who spoke fluent English and quickly dealt with an issue with the door lock.

- I could hear people talking next door room - It is important to make hosts aware of safety in the neighborhood (I haven't seen it) - Air conditioning no working properly - Check out at 12 PM and people came knocking on my door between 10AM until I left , around 12PM with the most stupid excuses. This was really annoying and unpolite. I left at very last minute just for this. I could say better training staff, but they just go after orders- so better training for the managers on how to offer a better Customer Experience.

With the location being centro - in the day time it was incredibly safe but at night expect to see around 50 homeless people sleeping very close to the entrance of the hotel, it’s not safe to walk around at night so most evenings I found myself having to eat at the Novotel for dinner just for safety reasons. This was the only negative however I never found it a problem aside from the eating, no one bothered me and I managed to still do everything I wanted to. The moto taxis and Ubers will drop you off right outside the entrance too which is was nice. Also due to the check out at 12pm, and my flight being at 8pm - I was denied a 5 minute shower after being at the beach, I wasn’t sure what to do with my day so I went to the beach but for obvious reasons I would need a shower after. I had to pay for an extra day just so I could use the shower. Having a communal shower would be ideal as I’ve stayed in many places that offer this

The place is a 4 minute from the SDU airport which is ideal when you land. They keep the place super cool which is nice in the heat, I found I never needed to use my AC most nights because of how naturally cool the rooms were. Room was comfortable & cleaned well every day. I stayed during carnival and it was the perfect place for a good nights rest during the chaos that is carnival! It was super quiet & the staff was so friendly and helpful despite the language barrier. Overall I was extremely happy with my stay.

Great restaurant at the hotel. The location is excellent for flying out of Santos Dumont airport. We had an early flight and walked over the bridge to the terminal. It's about a five minute walk.
