Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. CanadaCommunication is very poor prior to cruise start. Try to call the number provided but no English speaking staff available to answer the phone. There is no acknowledgement of booking even after payment are fully paid. I have booked through booking.com. But I do expect some kind of confirmation. Everything does work out but
Room is spacious and excursions are designed quite well. Staffs are very welcoming. There are very few English speaking guests but cruise is trying to accommodate.

South AfricaWhen you visit a local community on the river, they separated the English speakers because the greeting and performance by the community is in Portuguese. So we were unable to watch, which defeats the point of the excursion. They should rather let the English group watch the performance and then the tour guide can provide an explanation afterwards.
It is a great experience. The staff are very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. They make sure you are comfortable and enjoying your trip. Everything is well prepared and you will never go hungry, the food doesn't stop coming!

If you already reading to comments, don't hesitate... just book... you won't regret it. Accommodation, food, excursions and staff were just fantastic. Exceeded expectations.

Just finished the 4 night cruise and it exceeded our expectations. Although the boat is a little tired it is spotlessly clean (cabins serviced twice per day) and well appointed. Good size cabins, all with a balcony and enormous comfortable bed, tv, wifi, minibar, dressing gown, slippers etc. it was a floating hotel room. The staff are all lovely, a particular we would like to thank to Moura in the dining who took such good care of us. He was very kind and attentive, I was a little apprehensive as some reviews said the food was not good & the wine was undrinkable but actually we found the opposite. Lots of Amazonian fish, fresh salads, fruit (plus lots of treats if you preferred). We particularly enjoyed the captain’s dinner on the final night Food was delicious. It was followed by a wonderful show. Several excursions per day so the boredom get a chance to take hold. Although it seems expensive when you book it, you don’t have to spend a single cent whilst on board. It is, fully all inclusive and once you add everything up, it feels like good value. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the cruise. It’s a once in a lifetime experience.

CanadaI would like to have seen more of the river and some narrower riverways but acknowledge that there are 3 main impediments, 1) fuel use and excessive CO2 emmisions (although it lies amidst one of the great CO2 consuming regions on the globe), 2) navigational limitations of such a large vessel on narrow waterways with shifting channels, and 3) operational costs. Still some shift from night travel/ day anchor towards night anchor/ day travel might provide more adventure for the guests.
The Staff made a genuine effort to make our stay both comfortable and memorable. All safety precautions were appropriate both on board and during excursions. The ship and it's amenities was fisrt class. The bars were well stocked and very well staffed. Overall and exceptional 4 days on one of the natural wonders of the world.

I liked pretty much everything. This is the best way to visit the Amazon Region and travel in comfort. The staff was exceptionally helpful, efficient and knowlegeable.

The ship was lovely, cabin spacious and bed huge and comfortable. Cabin was serviced efficiently twice a day. Excellent food options. Lovely swimming pool, although jacuzzi stopped working during the trip. All excursions happened on time and exactly as expected. Guides were knowledgable and trips were interesting.

I simply cannot think of a better way of exploring the Amazon, especially if you want to do it in comfort, style and enjoy good food and wine. A special mention for the truly amazing guides, not forgetting the skilful skiff pilots! It might be owned by a Spanish hotel chain, but what makes it so special is that all the staff are from Manaus and the surrounding area and they all have a genuine passion for their homeland. Well done Iberostar for making this ship such an amazing experience rather than just another floating , but "branded" hotel. A tip: Do the whole 8 days. By doing both trips you really see the beautiful diversity of the Amazon.
