It's a bit far away from the centre, but you can get an Uber pretty easily.

Jo is an amazing hostess. She makes you feel at home and she prepares coffee and scrambled eggs for breakfast. The beds were comfortable, with light points, charger with support for smartphones and great bedsheets. The A/C works well during the night.

I can’t point anything that I didn’t like about Jô’s place. I just didn’t like that I had to leave.

Clean, family oriented , close to markets and beaches, this property is the best place I’ve stayed. The check in and check out processes is completely smooth, the location is easy to find and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. I am a frequent flyer, I’ve travelled over 40 countries and stayed at hotels and hostels of all of kind shapes. Jô’s place exceeded my expectations not only because of the great setup of the property, but also because Jô herself is a very wonderful person to each guest. She’s a very kind, compassionate and carrying woman and she makes everyone feel welcome and a valued guest. Her hospitality skills are something positively far beyond of any review that she has got. During my stay, I was well taken care of by her and all the people involved at running the place. Every guest that I saw checking out, had some kind word to say to her, because she made them, me included, feel like family, not like another guest added to the extensive list of people that had stayed there. If you are looking for a place to stay in Ilhéus, I highly recommend Jô’s property..

The bed was too hard. I got a bit of a back problem. But ok, this is personal. The first night there was no water. I dont know why exactly but they did do everything to find a solution if we wanted to shower.

The room is really big and very clean. The shower was good! The owners are super friendly and they made a small breakfast for free. The location is ok but the centre of the town is too far so you need an Uber.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable pousada. The shared dorm is spacious and has lots of storage space. Lots of natural light in the common areas and perfect for co-working. Felt like home.

Not the best location for tourism but really close to the airport and not far from downtown by car/taxi. Right in between the city and the South beach clubs..

Absolutely beautiful, clean and spacious place with a beautiful terrace and aircon in the room… Thumbs up for the outdoor toilet and shower and also the common areas.. It really feels like home..

I had an absolutely amazing experience at this hostel. Everything from the staff, who were incredibly friendly and provided valuable tips on local dining options, to the exceptional cleanliness of the rooms (which were some of the cleanest I've ever seen in a hostel), the comfortable beds, and the well-equipped kitchen made my stay exceptional. Additionally, its proximity to the airport was convenient—I was able to walk to the hostel from there. Plus, there are fantastic beaches just a 10-minute stroll away and a large supermarket nearby. I truly loved my time here! Thank you again for hosting me. Felt truly at home.

All is good. 10 min by car from city centre or from the airport.

Very good and welcoming space. Everything is very clean (kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, reception, living room, etc.). Nearby beaches, and you'll be able to find some restaurants and small shops in the area.

The shower was a little bit less than lukewarm. However, I never mentioned this to staff as I had to leave not long after my shower and I'm sure they would have tried to rectify this for me

it’s a bit of a walk to the old town but you can easily get there by Uber.

Very nice and clean hostel with well equipped kitchen and chill hang out area. It’s a short walk to the beach. The staff was welcoming and the coffee was really nice.

Far away from the city center, I ended spending a lot of money in taxis. Some bunk bed curtains for extra privacy would be nice.

The owners and staff do their best to give a good experience to the guests, everyone was very helpful. The place is clean, has nice a kitchen, a small living/waiting room, several toilets, one feels like at home. Walking distance to the beach. Quiet neighborhood, with supermarkets and restaurants nearby.
