The bathrooms could do with some work

The rooms are really comfortable, the bathrooms could be a bit cleaner but are alright, and the outdoor seating area where they serve breakfast is really nice.

I hated my bed, the mattress was very old and dirty, the sheets didn’t stay on, it was only comfortable because we were just 4 people in the room

Honestly nothing, sometimes the shower (pressure system) would be slow but you can just wait it out.

The staff were great and welcoming, gave us lots of helpful recommendations. The facilities were great and clean. Loved the resident cats, very friendly. The private room was large and spacious, felt comfortable here. The free breakfast was an added bonus. Really enjoyed our stay.

The location is within walking distance of the beach. Not a fancy area of town, but near restaurants and stores. Staff was generally nice and helpful. Very good breakfast.

The bathroom is separated from the room, which it does not say on the booking. However, was not a problem but I would prefer that to be mentioned. Furthermore, the bathroom needs more ventilation .

Bathrooms were not always the cleanest (but there were also lot of guests). My food I’ve just bought at the store disappeared from the fridge (2x) even though having marked it. -after staff cleaned the fridge. But there were no responsibles..

Situated in a lovely neighbourhood with attractive fin-de-siècle buildings, the Hospedaria is just minutes walk from Botafogo beach, with its amazing view of Sugarloaf Mountain, from the metro and from a wide range of bus services. It’s also close to Botafogo Praia Shopping mall which has a taxi rank outside. Botafogo itself is also conveniently between the attractions of the Carioca city centre and the famous beaches down south but has its own, vibrant centre with lively bars and restaurants at night. This pousada is charming with a lovely, partially covered courtyard, where a good buffer breakfast is served. The desk is staffed 24hours and the staff range from very friendly to exceptionally charming and on most shifts there is someone who speaks good, or even fluent English.

Many mosquitos in the room during the night. There is no accessibility to the upper floor, only stairs.

The room is comfortable. The bathroom is clean. The breakfast is good. The location is good.

AC stopped working in the room, and there are certain places in the hostel that are set up as chilling areas, but the wifi range doesn't extend there, or is very weak.

Really enjoyed my stay. Breakfast in the mornings was fantastic, and had many options. Location was also great. Close to the beach, the metro, and a shopping mall if you needed anything.

Lacks privacy as there are no partitions/ curtains between beds.

I woke up several times because of the staff talking very loud and even screaming, that was the only annoying thing. However, it didn’t ruin my stay.

The place was really nice, excellent location! The breakfast was very generous (good cake!) and the receptionists were super nice :)

There were a lot of mosquitoes in the common areas but know this can be hard to help. Think mosquito spray should be more accessible all around to prevent bites

The hostel is decorated in a cute style. The room was spacious and the staff all kind. The aircon was great for the hot nights

My view was to a wall where people were passing by so I had to keep my window closed at all times. There were some things that would have been nice, like lamps next to the bed. Breakfast wasn't included, and thought 25R was too expensive for what they had to offer.

The bed was comfortable and overall clean. Very good predisposition from the personal. Location was good, this is a safe neighborhood. Internet connection in the bedroom was good enough, but not so good in the common areas.

The mattress were really bad, although they changed the mattress when I complain the new mattress was a little bit better than the previous one, but still, I did not have the rest I needed

The fridge was watering a lot, so the food that I saved felt constantly wet. Also the pans and pots were very old and it felt they were dirty. The room was practical, clean, and nicely decorated, but it could be improved adding some things to put the clothes, a mirror, a place to leave the phone at night (always close to the bed) and those little details and could make the experience more comfortable:).

The people there make this place feel like home :). I stayed for almost 3 weeks and I really felt part of the group (and missed them already) The location was great, the common areas two, always clean and nicely decorated, wlyou hace always water to drink ann coffee and tea too. The rooms are comfortable, but with some changes the experience can improved a lot.
