It's not exactly a clean place, many areas require proper deep cleaning..

The location, it's near the pier, so easy to get to it. IAll the walks people can do start either to the left or right of this hostel. Although it's on the main street, it's sitting a little back and on the floor above, so not nousy

Great staff and service! The location is just opposite to the ferry, in the center of town. If you are not that high standard person, I would recommend here, well it's basic, but everything you need is included.

We were there during very severe rain. Some rain got inside the room. But this was highly uncommon weather.

The staff was amazing! Very kind people, always there to help you, and to put a smile on your face. The location is amazing, right in front of the speedboats that take you to the island. We were supposed to stay only one night and ended up staying 4!

You get what you pay for. Very basic facilities but done the job for a night

The host was very friendly and helpful during our stay. He let us store our bags free of charge while we explored the island on our last day. The hostel is right opposite the main pier

The pillows are the very bare minimum, even for a hostel I would expect a little better quality.

It is as close at it can be to the beach and being on the top level of the building shields it from the noise on the street. Bernardo from front desk is the most helpful, kind and adorable person you will meet. He will go the extra mile to make you feel at home.

It was basic, and often there was a really bad smell in the bathrooms and in the rooms. Struggled to hang up my things as it’s a beachy place everyone was hanging up their bikinis and towels. No space to hang stuff up if you didn’t get there first.

It was in an ideal place, right by the ferry port in Abraão. The staff were very nice and funny and made our stay enjoyable.

I’ll try not to express any opinion and let the people decide for themselves, but I would not recommend this place. Only one bed linen to cover the mattress so old and worn out that it didn’t even work. No second bed linen provided, and it’s quite cold at night (yes AC works and it’s good!). Not clean (not feeling so dirty either) - I killed my self one little cockroach in the room. Only one bathroom working at the time of my stay because of an issue in the second one. Surprisingly it wasn’t so hard to shower and the filtered water was warm but really smelly (I did stay in another posada on the island and I can assure this is not a problem from the water network). Everything feeling not maintained or clean and abandoned, but if you are fine to a very basic basic stay (for a bargain of price) and don’t mind all the rest, you might still consider to stay there.

The people at Flor da Ilha are the kindest and most welcoming people I’ve met at a hostel. We became good friends over our few days in Ilha Grande and we will be returning to see them again. Such a perfect chilled vibe, muito tranquilo.

DO NOT STAY HERE. DO NOT PAY WITH CREDIT CARD. MY CARD HAD TO BE CANCELLED AFTER FRAUDULENT TRANSACTIONS TOOK PLACE IMMEDIATELY AFTER USING IT HERE. DODGY. Also the rating is misleading. I suspect some amigos have given them 10s to boost the score. Not comfortable, not clean, no power points for charging, one bathroom for heaps of people.
