Nice room and breakfast ,very clean. Good view and very calm

We were there for the third time. Unfortunately, the morning shift staff was unfriendly, in a bad mood, and did not greet us or even smile. She stood right next to us while we were eating, which was uncomfortable. We had to ask multiple times before she reluctantly agreed to prepare two plain eggs for us—without any friendliness. As a guest, you don’t feel welcome here, which is unacceptable for a hotel in this price range. Due to this employee, we would not return. Friendly and attentive service should be a given in this kind of beautiful place. The pool was very dirty and only cleaned the day we left.

The staff at the pousada were exceptional. Both women worked hard to make the experience comfortable and relaxing, helping us to change rooms when needed. The breakfast they provided was wonderful.

It was a bit hard to find the entrance to the pousada. Maybe a sign that says, "Entrance" would help!

Breakfast was good. They also offered coffee and some cakes, cookies in the afternoon. And they had friendly and young staff.

Rooms and bathrooms are a bit small and not very clean.

The pool and the A/C

One of the staff members was rude, did not answer with words, showed us things on her cellphone to communicate and we spoke Portuguese. The room was supposed to be a “suite”. It was super small. No room to hang clothes, no wardrobes, the shower did not close well and the bathroom would dump. The pool opens at 10 am and the breakfast was not ready at 8am. You can see the staff cleaning 2 meters away from you while you have breakfast. Should be separated for the price you are paying.

Hello! This was my experience in Casa Bonita. first my room as some spaces on the windows between the glass and the frame this can be very dangerous because this is a tropical island and there's mosquitoes with dangerous diseases. I approached the housekeeper because of this and she told me there was only one room that I can move to on the basement even though we're the only guests staying at the hostel. That room was awful so naturally we did not move. Second it was announced by the house keeper that there would be daily cleaning on the rooms however we spent 2 nights in the hostel and there hasn't been cleaning yet. Third The breakfast doesn't even have half the variety of food that it was shown on the pictures. also this morning I was getting some hot water and it was murky and dirty I asked the housekeeper to please take care of this and she said it was okay only after I insisted did she actually clean the hot water bottle. Fourth the pool Filter hasn't been working, meaning the pool has dirt, insects and leaves on it, making it not usable. I had a terrible experience here!

the place is nice and relaxing

my room was near the room of workers so they woke up early. the swimming could be a bit more clean.

Staff were lovely, nice breakfast, nice to have a pool, location accessible to town.

Our room was damp, the aircon and hot water were tricky, the WiFi is not good, we struggled to sleep beyond 7am in our room as the owner starts early and seems to live in the Nextdoor room. Overall, I’m sad to say I wouldn’t recommend, but the staff were very nice and I think other rooms might be better. It could be a really nice place, but I think our economy room was the problem.

The hotel felt quite traditional and is in a good location. The room was clean and comfortable and the pool area was nice.

The breakfast included was quite limited but traditional. Also there is a bit of a walk up a hill to get to the hotel.

The room was below the breakfast area and next to a service room so early in the morning there was a lot of noise. The staff wasn’t that friendly.

The location was good and the girls working there were great and extremely helpful. The breakfast was nice and homemade. We stayed in a room with a balcony and a hammock which we enjoyed.

The room was quite simple and not super clean so we were slightly disappointed. Plus we had bad luck with the power going out on the island during our stay however there was a generator on site which kept everything going. If the forecast looks rainy - bring an umbrella as they don’t have any to lend and everything in the centre tends to be overpriced.

Breakfast was okay

We stayed for 4 nights, our room wasn’t cleaned at all. Room felt damp, staff could have said hello in the mornings for breakfast. Was a very basic room and mattress sunk in the middle.

We had a very nice stay, the staff is very nice.

Nothing specific, the pool wasn't really clean.

Hammocks & pool area were nice. Afternoon coffee and cake was appreciated. Lovely setting. Friendly local cat!

The staff were mostly quite silent - it may have been the language barrier but we had a lovely time with the breakfast lady (Lucie?) despite the language barrier! The others seemed quite bored, maybe because the hotel was quiet, but at times it felt awkward. The pool would have benefited from daily cleaning, just to fish leaves and bugs out.

very nice staff, really welcoming. great and delicious breakfast, felt like home. location was close to the city, short 7 minute walk to the beach. nice pool. would definitely stay there again!

the address didn’t have the house number that’s why we couldn’t find it at first. we asked someone for help to find the hotel.

the location is superb. quiet and not difficult to get to. pleasant terrace. spacious shower. delicious breakfast. fantastic service
