Just one minor issue was during a dinner where my dish came with a huge piece of plastic and they still charged me, which is not the expected for a place like this.

Really stunning resort in kite surfing, boho chic resort city of Cumboco. Located just under an hour from Fortaleza, you felt a world away from the big city. Breakfast was outstanding and the pool and many hot-tubs made for a such a relaxing stay. Check out the city center for some fantastic restaurants.

Food and beverage were a bit overpriced (a special package for beverages and/or all-inclusive could be an interesting option) and, although the room was spacious the bathroom could be bigger.

The mattress wasn’t the best, it didn’t bother me but it could be better. The vendors on the beach in front of the hotel are really pushy and made some guests uncomfortable. They set up shop of front of the jacuzzis and won’t take no for an answer. The main reason I don’t give the hotel a full rating is because during our 4 days stay there was construction going on on the first floor suites by the pool, and I wish this was noted somewhere on our reservation. Guests should be aware of it as it’s very loud.

Lovely and well kept grounds. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the food and the drinks are great. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you’re taken care of., they really made our stay with their amazing service. The room was beautiful, well decorated and very spacious.

The service was amazing and the hotel itself was absolutely gorgeous!! The food was so tasty! Lovely to be offered fruit and wet face clothes throughout the day to keep cool.

The only downside was that the live music in the pool area could be heard from our room since all rooms face the pool. However, the music stopped at 10 pm, and we were still able to get a good night's sleep in peace and quiet.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Carmel Cumbuco resort five years ago and were delighted to return recently to find that the resort is in excellent condition, very well-maintained, and with many new improvements that added to our overall experience. The attention to detail from the staff was impressive, with small refreshing drinks and fruit served around the pool area, which was a nice touch. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which was not only delicious but also varied each day. The room was comfortable and relaxing, with all the amenities we needed for a pleasant stay. Overall, I highly recommend the Carmel Cumbuco resort for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The resort is well-maintained, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the little touches they provide make for a truly memorable experience.

There are only two main vegan options in the menu. Later one of the waiters told us we could request something different and the chef would make it. Maybe consider putting this info in the menu so others will know from the start.

There’s a lot of things to do and to relax. The staff was amazing and we felt very welcome.

the food! not enough veggie/vegan options. there was only 1 vegan dish on the menu. the kids menu, was ok, only the food was too oily, so we would ask for steamed and they were happy to make it.

abusively expensive add on services (it’s ok to charge a premium, but the double or triple than the equivalent service outside of the resort?). examples: massage was charged BRL270 while BRL100 outside, kitesurfing at BLR300/hour while BRL190/hour at a very good school a fee meters away…
