The only bad part was having to leave!

One of the best trips we have been on! The location is unmatched, serene, unique and you truly feel like you’re part of nature. You’re a 15 minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches and you’re guaranteed to see monkeys on the way! The staff was incredibly hospitable and helpful throughout and made us feel at home. They also arranged our travel to the lodge to and from Rio which made the whole trip stress free. All the food we ate was so fresh and homemade. Breakfast was also our favorite part of the day in front of the amazing view

We couldn’t stay there forever.

Everything was absolutely excellent. I loved the food. Breakfast was outstanding, the fruit bowl was the best I’ve had ever. Yogurt was homemade. Fruit juices were freshly squeezed. Even the scrambled eggs were absolutely delicious. Bread rolls were served warm. The ocean views were spectacular, truly paradise. The taxi and boat transfers were well organized.

Cliche number 3! But there is nothing to fault.

It’s a cliche, but everything! Location From what we could tell, this is the only hotel on Pouso beach, which makes it the closest place you can stay to Lopes Mendes beach. The hotel is a little way up into the jungle (very minor walk) which gives you beautiful views over the bay. Every room has view of the jungle and sea, with the restaurant area being particularly gorgeous. To get to Lopes Mendes you can take the more direct route, which takes around 20 minutes through the jungle and is very much up-and-down, and takes you to the most popular end of the beach. This is where day trippers tend to go and there are a few mini stalls selling cold drinks. The other route takes roughly 40-minutes to an hour, is more flat, and takes you to the quieter end of the beach. We tried both, and both are amazing, but the seclusion of the quieter end was our favourite. The trade off is there is you have to do a 30-minute round trip along the beach to get a cold drink. The Room We had room number 2, which had a huge bed, a spacious area with a sofa and coffee table, a good shower, and a lovely area our the front with tables, chairs, and a hammock. The Staff All of the staff were ridiculously friendly and thoughtful. We’re going to hit another cliche here, but it genuinely felt like they couldn’t do more for us. Noticing we had left an unopened drink outside of our room and taking it and placing it in their fridge to keep cool, is a small example of the kind of thoughtfulness that was constantly on display. The Food The breakfast was huge and delicious. The best we had in 3 weeks throughout Argentina and Brazil. Yoghurt, fruits, granola, and jam; a selection of fresh breads that were still warm; meats and cheese; and the option for fresh eggs and tapioca. We even overheard the staff offering to keep the breakfast for another couple to have at lunch because they were going to out too early.

Perfect lodge in a perfect location. It was amazing to experience the beauty of the beaches before the boat trips arrived. Everything about the stay was wonderful and we’d recommend finding out about the longer 1hr walk to the stunning Lopes Mendez beach.

What a place in paradise! If you are lucky, you will be able to spend time in the Atlantica Jungle Lodge, surrounded by tropical paradise and the kindest hosts ever. The food freshly prepared for every meal is exceptional homecooked.

Everything was memorable: 1. Attention from the staff: Felipe, Fernando, Pedro and all the remaining staff were extremely attentive since we booked the trip until our last day 2. Location: Ideal spot to be excluded from the city, we felt like we were the only ones on Earth 3. Cleanliness: great attention to detail

There are a lot of mosquitos at dinner (not the hotels fault - but beware). Also the beach is not good for snorkeling as the water gets clean but is muddy after some meters. So you don’t see a lot - which also is not the hotels fault. But there are great diving schools like “Scuba Dive Ilha Grande” who take you to the other side of the islands where visibility is great.

The pousada is located in a beautiful bay surrounded by only tropical plants. The beach is clean and tranquil. There is not much happening apart from daily boat tours arriving and dropping off tourists that hike to other beaches. The staff is super welcoming and attentive, they organize everything you need (like boat transfers to other areas). The dinner was great (try the moqueca!). The room was clean and spacious. You can walk to another beach through the jungle (20min) - called Lopes Mendes

Beautiful setting, very good food (loved fish, the salads and fresh fruit at breakfast) and very polite and attentive staff with good English. Private transfers to and from the island were smooth.

Just a fantastic hotel to relax and enjoy the island and all it has to offer. Best location to visit Lopes Mendes beach as boats can’t stop at that beach since it’s part of the natural park. The hotel offers excellent food and the staff couldn’t do more to help you. If you wish to visit Ilha Grande then I would recommend this place without hesitation, especially for couples

Atlantica is a piece of paradise. The property is located right on a secluded beach with direct access to the path (10-15min walk) to one of the best beaches in the world - Lopes Mendes. The rooms are spacious and clean and furnished very well. The Lodge has a dedicated restaurant with excellent ingredients and dishes. Felipe, Fernando, and the rest of the staff are always there to assist with travel arrangements, island details and food recommendations. I recommend getting up early to the medley of jungle sounds (alternatively we heard no motorboat sounds until ~10am which is a major plus) and making use of all the island has to offer.

This place is paradise, one of the most beautiful hotels and location I’ve ever had the chance to see. Felipe and Fernando were both amazing, very friendly and made our stay memorable - thank you so much! Food was great, rooms were great, they even had Kayaks, Paddle boards and snorkeling masks available. I hope to be back soon!
