I am terrible with names, so the worse things for me are: Staff saying my name out loud, which for my personal preference I am not a huge fan of. When Staff are saying their names, because honeys I am not going to be able to memorize any of your names. Breakfast closed too soon.

Breakfast, was full of options and they even did eggs benedict when it wasn't the eggs benedict day. The room was super clean they we had a 2 persons bed and still another one on the side. Beds were super comfortable and all was super clean also in the bathroom. If you are not a huge ecologist, the bath tube was big enough for 2. Please go to the massage on the top and pay the 1h30 min relaxing, it is amazing. Location is perfect, you can always go for a walk during the day near the beach, the surroundings on the back of the hotel, I will not recommend to walk there alone, but I think nobody will point you a gun. There is a nice padaria if you are not willing to pay for breakfast.

Lack of kettle in room to make a hot drink. Shower tiles were slippery and my daughter fell over and banged her head.

Delicious breakfast, avast selection of food, plus a saxophonist playing bossa nova. Was fantastic.. Very attentive staff. Lovely large room and comfortable beds. Taxis readily available. Very clean and lovely hot powerful shower.

The flip side of the location is a serious matter. The location is 10-15 kilometres away from the Recife’s historic centre, from major commercial centre Rio Mar, from best jazz bars, from Estelita club, from all museums, including Instituto Ricardo Brennand museum – in practice that means at least 20 minutes taxi ride one way, and try to avoid the rush hour, it can be much longer. Olinda historic town, UNESCO’s heritage site, is no less than 20 km away from the hotel. I would say this hotel is not at all optimal for solo travellers, but rather recommendable for couples and families, such is the atmosphere prevailing. My room had only about 10% lateral sea view, which is almost as good as none. No courtesy water is offered in the room. At evenings and night, I could hear people talking in adjacent rooms. Importanly, on Sunday the hotel did not make a wake up call I requested – thus I missed the superb breakfast and 1/3 of my activities planned for the day. Moreover, despite my complaInt, the no wake up call situation was repeated the day after – it’s unacceptable for any respectable hotel, let alone a costly 5* hotel, to ignore a wake up call request - it's not a capricious request, I reckon. Finally, the reading lights by the bed are so tiny and produce minimal lights, making it next to impossible to read at night.

The Hotel is very well-located if you wish to enjoy the beach view, and a lenghty promenada to walk by the sea, if it is not raining, that is. It is less than 4 km away from the airport, if that is important. The noise protection is rather efficient, but you can enjoy the lovely ocean waves sound at night. Otherwise, there is a major flip side to this hotel location. The hotel matches 5* description in several ways: the room and bathroom are large and clean, finely furnished, the lobby entrance is is well-designed, there is a handy customer service/consierge in the lobby, a solo musician playing live music. TV in the room works, with news channels in Portuguese and some English, plua shundres of sports and fun channels. As a bonus, the elevator is full-glass transparent and you can watch the ocean as you move up and down. Breakfast is superb with freshly made eggs, vegetables, fruits, even guava rolos. Only one fancy family-style restaurant is recommemded in the relative vicinity to the hotel.

Room basic for this level of hotel. Would have expected more. We arrived at 8:30AM so well before check in time but it did not seem at all any efforts were made to help us get our room early. Price to get it early was quoted at 300 BRL !!!

Breakfast was very good, no comments. Location is good, walking distance to a lot, rooms are basic for this star rating. Our room is for sure not worth the hotel star rating. Pool location is nice but no one at bar - a lot of stuff just laying around,...

We love everything about Atlante Plaza. This is the best hotel in town. The employees are very professional and nice. Ana and her team are exceptional. You can tell how happy they are to serve you. The hotel is beautiful, clean and at a great location. My husband and I have been staying at Atlante Plaza since 2019 and have recommended it to all our friends. And, we’ll continue to come back!

The beach area in front of the hotel is bad, to find a good area you have to walk a lot, the hotel pool is very old and outdated
