“Lili and her breakfast and her Big smile. The decoration of the place, very rustique”

“Mama Africa Hostel 2 is a beautiful and welcoming home with a vibrant colorful decor and a great vibe. Every detail is carefully curated, and you wake up to the sound of birds, surrounded by nature. Breakfast is fresh from the garden, and on weekends, it’s served at Casa da Cultura, where you can enjoy your meal while reading one of its many books. Lili is an amazing host, full of passionate energy and care. As a digital nomad, I found it perfect for work. Gamboa is a chill neighborhood with friendly people, great for a walk anytime. Its pristine beaches are within a short walk, or you can take the boat – balsa – to Morro de São Paulo anytime for 6 BRL. After a day out, I enjoyed a swim in the pool and stargazing at night.”

“To be right on the beach is such a gift! The owner was incredibly lovely and generous; upgrading us to the biggest suite in the whole hotel! It was just what we needed and we were so grateful. The views are outstanding. About a 20 min walk into the town of Gamboa and a 45 min walk into Morro along the shore; you can walk to Gamboa to get the boat for 5 reals to Morro. Clean. Fresh.”

“Read my other review here. Magical place! Came for some days stayed for some weeks! The interior and exterior design is top notch, very unique, I would say it's art. Great breakfast. Lilly is a super woman and I had the privilege to be her guest. There is great area to work (quiet wit great view) for digital nomads, though wifi is not super fast.”
