“One of the best places to stay at the historic downtown. Good for couples and families. Attention to the rooms, there are some facing the mountains and the sea, and others internals. the first ones are preferable.”
“The location was gorgeous, the staff were really lovely and helpful with everything we needed. The restaurant was exceptional--Michelin-star level cuisine, made with locally sourced ingredients, very reasonably priced, and the dishes we tried were unlike anything I'd tasted before. Just stunning. My partner and I were on our honeymoon and the staff had left us a complimentary bottle of champagne, a personal note, and delicious handmade chocolate in the room, for the occasion. We appreciated the care and attention so much and we had the most amazing honeymoon. We can't wait to go back to Casa Luz. We also booked in for a couples massage, which was absolutely brilliant. We are both picky and particular when it comes to massage/physical therapy and we were really impressed, as well as healed, by the experience.”
“Short 5 min walk to the bus station and walkable to the town centre. Good breakfast and staff were friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. For lunch there was a great buffet place around the corner on the main road.”
“We stayed in a lovely split level room overlooking the water with a with staircase up to kids sleeping area. The room had 2 en-suites making it perfect for our family of 4. Breakfast was mainly continental with choice of eggs. The pão de queijo was delicious! Nice dining area, clean and breakfast buffet featured a nice range of fresh items. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Ana Leiticia was very helpful with our pre arrival messages, Tony was really welcoming when we arrived and really took great with our check in, thanks also to Alex who gave us plenty of information on things to see and do and fixed us up with a great day tour of the waterfalls and cachaça distilleries. The young girl who took care of breakfast service was very efficient with friendly helpful service (sorry we didn't catch her name).”
