Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThis is a little paradise by the side of the lake. Firstly - yes, it is more expensive than most places here but you do get what you pay for. You will save money on everything else in Bolivia. I was very ill after drinking an api in La Paz so the peace and tranquility here was just what I needed to get well again. The cabins are small but very cosy and comfortable. Central heating AND a stove with free firewood every evening, lead to each night being very cozy. The staff were very friendly and there was also no messing around with different exchange rates for once, which was a big plus! The view is amazing and there are plenty of places to sit and relax around the property. I would ask that please, PLEASE do not go around grabbing the llamas by the neck as we saw some guests doing. So selfish. They are not toys for your enjoyment they are wild animals that are scared.

ItalyNothing, I just wished I had stayed more.
The Sultan Suites apartment was just fantastic! The Sultan Suites and the Olas share the same common spaces and walking around the apartments and the rooms feels like being in a fairy tale. You can see alpacas walking around, you have a great view of the town from the balcony and the staff help you lighting the fire pit in the apartment every night, that makes it warm and cosy. We spent every night home because we loved staying inside and enjoying the view and the apartment. Really recommend!

Everything! The moment I stepped in I felt relaxed thanks to their both artistic and practical room designs. They have amazing attention to details: there’s a fireplace in the room where they already set it up properly and you just need to light it up; they have water bladder prepared for you to fill in hot water in case it’s cold; there’s glass window on the roof for star gazing; good restaurant next door (also with good views and vegetarian options); internet is good and location is amazing - 5min from bus station. Would love to come back!!

RomaniaEven tho it has central heating and a chimney, it can get quite cold at night as the buildings are not insulated. In the first night we were a bit cold, but in the 2nd night we just asked for more wood and kept the fire a bit longer on and we were good
The architecture and the inside of the suites is very interesting and it makes you feel like in a fairytale

United KingdomNothing. Some people might struggle with the steep hills but without those you wouldn’t get the fantastic views.
Fantastic place to stay. Beautiful apartment with breathtaking views across Titicaca. Copacabana can be very cold so the fact that you have radiators, hot water bottles and, best of all, a fabulously efficient log burner make the apartment warm and cosy. Excellent cafe for breakfast virtually next door. The design of the apartment gives great views of everything, even allowing moonlight in through the cupola. Really lovely place to stay.

United KingdomGiven the lack of supermarkets etc in Copacabana I didn’t get to make great use of the kitchen facilities, but there’s a very high chance I was just not looking hard enough for ingredients to cook! Also lack of fridge meant that buying anything to use in the kitchen that was perishable felt a bit pointless. An addition of a fridge would make this place 111,000/10 :)
I could not have enjoyed my stay at Suites Saltan more if I tried, and being there for only £30 a night felt like the best deal I’ve ever enjoyed in my life. The facilitates, cleanliness, views were 10/10. The staff were super friendly and helped me carry my bags up to the room/offered to help with everything. The heating was so good as well and was so warm and cosy. I stayed here as a solo traveller but it honestly felt like I was on the most incredible honey moon! I honestly would come back here in a heart beat.

United KingdomThat you could only pay in cash however you are told this before.
Martin was incredible and made sure we had everything to make our stay perfect. We had alpacas outside our room which was beautiful! The shower pressure was great, the bed was super comfy and the wood burner was an extra touch!!

United KingdomThey don't have shampoo and shower gel in the bathrooms. However, if you ask the staff they will provide some for you. This isn't a complaint it's just a heads up. Enjoy your stay.
We cannot rate this hotel highly enough. It may be the best place we have ever stayed. The attention to detail is incredible. The room, location and views are stunning. Fire ready to be lit in the room. Kettle in the room with an abundance of tea and coffee. Hot water and good water pressure in the shower. The bed was super comfortable and warm. Plenty of plugs for charging cameras etc. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Helped us to our room with our bags and supported us with any issues we had. On site they have alpacas and you can feed them. A great experience with the beautiful bay as a backdrop. My wife felt sick from the altitude, Martin helped her with oxygen, offered more food and drinks. Even offered us a suite to rest in free of charge whilst we waited for our bus. Again, I can't recommend this place enough. It's a must visit if you're in Copacabana. Thanks for having us.

It was the most beautiful property I have been to on my whole trip. It was different, not the typical hotel. Staff was really helpful.
