Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe were misquoted dollar wise for a day tour and when we went to check out early morning the front desk clerk showed us a tour menu with prices. Something that wasn't shown to us when we booked the day tour.
Location, rooms, breakfast, and overall service were top notch. The hotel even picked us up at the airport for a reasonable rate at 300AM which made our arrival stress free. Couldn't have asked for a better hotel experience!

United KingdomThere was nothing I didn’t like about this property.
The staff were amazing. I arrived with a broken shoulder following an accident at Lima airport. They were so helpful arranging a doctor, accommodating extra nights stay and generally being caring and attentive. The room was lovely, right next to a shopping centre and cable car station. The views were amazing.

ItalyUnfortunately i stayed only one night, but for the price paid is an absolutely stunning hotel. The staff is incredible, i was really look after at check in (i don’t remember the names of the 2 employees) and the man at the bar was amazing. He let me taste some of the best bolivian drinks, while explaining me the historical side. Breakfast staff also special, looking after me and all the other guest. In the end, Carla and Daniel, made the checkout really smooth and kept my luggage for two days in deposit, because i had to go on an excursion. The room has everything and the view on the city is stunning. Super recommended

PhilippinesThe temperature control for the heating/ac is complicated and there is no cable tv in my room only local channels. I don't speak Spanish. although I was out most of the time it would be nice to hear some white noise while I'm in the room. In English.
I like the room size and its clean. I would suggest that they put room slippers because the floor is so cold. Also, for the tv, the cable is not working.

United StatesThe hotel in on “embassy row,” a very nice neighborhood, but somewhat far from what I would consider the heart of town for tourists.
Excellent, modern hotel, with excellent service, good restaurant and spa.

IndiaThere was just one thing that I reckon could be improved. David, the waiter from the restaurant was kind of pushy in getting tipped. The word “TIP” in the bill was always highlighted but not the main amount. Also, when I said that I can pay my bill using my card, he was kind of insisting that I pay his tips in cash. This was a bit let down for me. I reckon, tipping should be voluntary and not mandatory (unlike in the US)
Excellent property, quite new and well decorated. The bed was very much comfortable. The room was spacious with a beautiful view of the La Paz city. Special thanks to Marcelo and Camila from the front desk, in making my stay an enjoyable experience.

ItalyA flawless stay from start to finish. The hotel itself is refined and comfortable, but what truly sets it apart is the staff: Marcelo, in particular, was outstanding. Every transfer we arranged was managed with impeccable precision and punctuality. Truly seamless service. Highly recommended.

United StatesThe location can’t be beat. The cable cars, which serve as La Paz’s metro, are steps away. You’re in a vibrant neighborhood with shops, cafes, and restaurants. The hotel provides free passes to a fabulous gym in the attached mall. The historic center is easily accessed. This is the nicest place I’ve stayed in Bolivia. I love the floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning mountain views. The WiFi works well and the staff speaks fluent English. For my last visit to La Paz, I stayed at a different hotel with a higher rating. This is better. It’s my preferred place to stay.

AustraliaWhen we checked in we got weird room where see through shower room sticking out to room! But it was resolved. They changed room for us. May be fancy ? Funky? for some but not for us , oldies !
Breakfast was nice. Room spacious and bed comfy. Water bottles in room made less work. And we can get cold and hot water on the way in and out. We didn’t order breakfast last day because we checked out at 2:45 am but we were still given breakfast to go so we didn’t need to look for breakfast at airport. Nice touch. Thanks.

United StatesLa Paz is not very touristy and this hotel is one of the few 4 star hotels. The location, rooms, breakfast, service and hotel restaurant were all very good. The hotel occupies two floors in a modern high-rise building. For a nice view over the city, ask for the high floor.

United KingdomFor a 4-5 star hotel, it would have been nice to have a kettle in the room to make a hot drink without having to leave the room. Your policy of charging guests for damage to the white linen - I have never seen a policy like that in any other hotel that we have stayed in. You charge quite a lot as well, $100 USD for a bath towel, etc. The day we were leaving I saw another customer get extremely agitated with the reception team when he was asked to pay for a towel. Now, I don't know if he deliberately damaged the linen or not but I do believe it is possible to charge a little lesser even if it was deliberate damage. I felt sorry for the lady at reception who had to deal with the irate customer so hopefully management can reconsider this policy.
Everything was great. The staff are so helpful and kind - they do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. Location - great, right next to a telefric station. It is also in the same building as a mall so you have access to a food court if you need one. There is a nice chinese restaurant that we went to a couple of times (same street as the hotel). Rooms - the room we got on the 12th floor had a fantatsic view of Mt Illimani and the city. Very comfortable beds and the shower was great. Restaurant - we ate in Terra one night and it was really good. I had the burger and my wife had empanadas. Our son is a very fussy eater but the restaurant staff were amazing, they gave us exactly what we needed. A sweet lady working there even gave my son a gingerbread man cookie which made him really happy :). Spa - my wife went for a relaxing massage (additional cost) and she liked it. Overall, fantastic stay and we would gladly stay here again.
