Staying on Isla del Sol was a special experience, and this little hotel made it even better. The room was simple but very clean, comfortable, and tranquil, with stunning views of Lake Titicaca. The hosts were kind and welcoming, and the meals we had there were homemade and delicious. When touring Lake Titicaca, spending a night or more on Isla del Sol is an experience you don’t want to miss. Trust me! Visitors should know that life on the island is calm and rustic — there are no cars and you’ll be walking up and down steep paths — so come prepared for simplicity and peace rather than luxury. If you embrace the slower rhythm, this place is truly unique and unforgettable.

For our room, electric sockets have been a bit temperamental and Internet connection is not always stable. But we are here to enjoy the view and nature :)

The host has been super kind and friendly, my husband didnt feel good with the high altitude, and she let us stay in the room longer than check out time to rest. The view is stunning and the location is convenient on the trail route

You have to forgive the exterior of the property, it’s hiding a blissful interior. The shower in our room wasn’t particularly safe. It needs inspecting by an electrician.

Everything. Hosts were charming, view is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Take up the offer of the luggage service. It supports the local families with their donkeys and you don’t get to see a donkey with your bag on every day (it’s a steep hill…) Again, the view is unreal

11/10 recommend. This experience was extremely serene, so peaceful, and overlooked the entire lake so we could see the highest mountain top. The breakfast is so good and prepared by the hosts, they take time out to bring it to the room. The check in process is smooth, they show you how everything works and how you can't use the heated water at the same time of the room heater because of the outlets. They gave more than enough blankets so we were cozy and did NOT WANT TO LEAVE. The only thing I won't fail to mention, the hike up to this place may take some time as the altitude is felt and it hurts! But take some breaks and relax at this magnificent place. So lovely. ALSO!!! IF YOU GET A CHANCE, GO UP THE MAIN ROAD WHERE ALL OF THE RESTAURANTS ARE, MAKE A LEFT AT THE FIRST SIGN, CONTINUE UP AND VISIT THE SWEETEST MAN WHO WILL BE SO HAPPY TO COOK YOU A MEAL. IT LOOKS LIKE THE EATING PLACE IS HIS HOME WHICH MADE IT 10 TIMES BETTER. HE IS SO KIND, SO HAPPY, AND WELCOMED US LIKE HIS FAMILY. THE BEST EXPERIENCE HANDS DOWN. (4th & 5th photo)

I loved my stay at Sol y Luna. The room was huge & very comfortable and the view was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful giving me tips on hiking around the island. Breakfast was delicious as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Good location - you have to climb the Inca stairs to reach the top of the island. Luckily we had paid for someone to carry our luggage . Comfy room . We had a balcony to sit out on and have breakfast there undercover in the rain !

The location was a little tricky to find, and is on a high hill, but once you get up there from the port and get used to it's location, all good. Definitely something to be aware of before booking. The shower also doesn't have a lot of pressure, but I was expecting this from other reviews. Most hotels on the island, lack shower pressure.

The view from my room was absolutely magical! I only stayed a night, but wish I could have stayed longer! Sunrise was spectacular! The room was very comfortable, with extra blankets, a heater and even had a kettle! (very rare in south america). Breakfast was lovely and served in my room!

The most incredible view over lake titicaca from our room and we’re able to relax on the balcony in the deckchairs provided. Breakfast was delivered to your room which was a treat! All the staff were friendly and gave lots of recommendations for the island, we were very sad to leave!

Spectacular view of the island and all the way to the mainland 😃 Beautiful decor and full glass wall to see the sunrise from bed 🌅😍 We had an early morning start and the landlady was kind enough to bring us breakfast at 5.30am!! Excellent, friendly service! Beautiful room!!

Shower didn't get hot :(

Gorgeous views, little shop on site and friendly staff. It rained very heavily in the night which was a little scary as it was so loud on the tin roof but we were impressed it stayed dry and cosy!
