Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceBreakfast starts 8 am earliest which seems to be perfect for most visitors but i found personally too late. In terms of quality and variety of the breakfast options it was rather in the middle range when comparing to other BnBs during my trip.
Beautiful house with huge garden. Calm and secure. Owner speaks fluently English French and Spanish. Gave extensive tips and recommendations for the city. Good price performance.

CanadaThere’s a steep hill to get to the place, just be ready.
It was so beautiful with its gardens and fruit trees. The place is beautifully decorated. Nice hot showers with a warm bed. It was the best sleep I had since traveling in Bolivia. I had been to the freezing Altiplano, so it was a of great comfort! The location is great, Sucre is beautiful, 10 minutes wall from the main square and all the restaurants.

United KingdomZero, really.
This place felt like an oasis of calm. A delightfully charming property that is immaculately kept, with a stylish twin-room. The bathroom feels huge and has a wonderful hot shower. The breakfast is really good, too. We were served scrambled eggs on each of our mornings there, as well as a variety of warm bread rolls, homemade jam and cake. If further calm is needed, there’s a lovely quiet garden to relax in, as well as a terraced area. Good, consistent Wi-Fi. Nice location and reasonable distance from the main square in Sucre.

Wonderful place. The beautiful, very well-maintained garden with colorful flowers is a great place to relax. The room is spacious, clean and the shower is great. It is just a short walk from the main square, but close to a viewingpoint. The owners are very friendly.

AustraliaThe fact we were made to pay in American Dollars and if we wanted to pay in Bolivianos we had to pay at the unofficial rate not the rate quoted in Bolivianos on the Booking.com site. This was the only place in Bolivia that imposed this upon us.
The room was spacious and very light and bright with lovely views to the garden. The bed was very comfortable. I liked the fact we had tables and chairs to sit at inside the room. The whole setting of the bed and breakfast is delightful with a beautiful garden. The breakfast was good but would have liked a savoury vegetable option if you are not an egg eater.

AustraliaRoom was very warm in the afternoon. Lots of windows to let in the fresh air in summer, but no insect screens, so also let's in the mosquitoes. No fan to cool the room. A hike up the hill from town.

The place is perfect. The room was beautiful and there was a lovely, full of blooming flowers, garden. The location is excellent- 600 meters from the historical center. However it’s very quiet, relaxing and peaceful. Carmen had a map for us , she marked places and restaurants to go to. Don’t miss La Taverna for an excellent lunch - set menu (best value) and a la carte. She also told us about a most interesting museum - Museum of Indigenous Art; and she had a brochure too. Don’t miss it. We learned so much and admired unique skills of the artists. Carmen also helped us in arranging transportation to Potosi and answered all our questions. It was a perfect stay!

Everything! We booked the junior suite which was one large room with massive windows overlooking the gardens. Carmen, our host, was fantastic and provided a Chilean history lesson for us! Perfect location, could walk everywhere including our favourite area, La Recoleta. Very good breakfast.

The rooms are very comfy and the garden and patio are just amazing and so beautiful with all kinds of different plants and flowers. On top, Carmen is the perfect host we could get an early Check In and could use the house and garden the whole day until we left for a bus at night.
