As with most of Isla del Sol the dinner menu was quite expensive and although tasty the portion quite small. Breakfast was also a bit variable, one day we had fruit, one day we didn’t and the bread was stale.

Amazing location, stunning views. Good hot shower. Strong wifi. Not too far from town with restaurants. Very friendly owner. Very clean. We extended our stay. Bed very comfy and bedding lovely.

    Nothing.

Location is amazing! Wake up to watch sunrise from your room. Also, very clean rooms. We ate breakfast and dinner here and both were delicious.

The hot shower came with little pressure.

Such a great place to stay in the Isla del sol. The room was spacious, the beds comfy and very clean. Gladys’ breakfasts in the terrace were awesome. She is such a lovely and attentive person! Would highly recommend.

Excellent breakfast with an outstanding view. Likewise, the view from our room was stunning. The room was clean, the bedding had plenty of blankets for the cold nights and there was plenty of hot water for showering (!!!). It's a bit of a walk to the nearby restaurants and from the port but absolutely worth it to stay in such a beautiful location.

No heating at night and it got quite cold, but apparently that’s quite normal here. I recommend bringing a lot of warm layers for the nights

Spacious and clean room. Surprisingly also a hot shower. Superb view on the Andes mountains from this side of the isla and an excellent sunrise (from your bed, if you are a cold person like me). Run by a lovely family. When I told I struggled with altitude, they plucked medicine plant (not the coca, different plant) from their garden for my tea. I cannot recommend this place enough. Note the following: The family sends you a map with directions. I missed the detour so added some pictures. It’s hard to see the detour while struggling up the Inca stairs but if you end up in the village, you are to far and need to head down. There was a sign with Utasawa when I visited and that’s is where you should turn left to the detour and you’ll find the lodge after waking approx. 5 min in the flat part. Thank me later ;) and enjoy your stay

    Nothing!

This Ecolodge requires a bit more effort to get to than some of the ones in “downtown” Yumani, but it’s totally worth it. Each exceptionally clean room is private, with a cozy bed, warm shower and attentive staff.

Had to find. Could use signs/directions on trails. Heat in the room would be nice but I think it’s not common.

Very good view. Room was bright and spacious with view of the lake eastward. Secluded and away from the other accommodation in Yumani. The property offers dining on site as it’s a bit of distance to Yumani.

When picking up our stored luggage there was no toilet available for me to use. The rooms were ready for new guests to come. So I had to pee on the way.

We stayed in a very nice room - unfortunately only for one night! The room was big, super clean and seemed to be very new. The bed was extremely comfy and the blanket was the best we had in 5 months of traveling - real downs! Haha… The breakfast with stunning view of Lago Titicaca was simple but very good - yummy bread, butter, jam, eggs, fresh orange juice, tea and coffee. We definitely recommend to stay at El Descanso and you should consider staying more than one night as most tourist do. It’s an incredibly beautiful and tranquil island. Perfect for relaxing and recharging! And try to leave you main luggage at Copacabana or elsewhere on the main land, because it is very steep on the island, also the way to El Descanso. Fortunately we were able to store our luggage at the accommodation while we went to explore the island before going back to the main land in the afternoon.

Wonderful staff, helpful and friendly. Great breakfasts and dinners. Lovely down pillows and super warm down doona, which was definately needed. Hot water for showers at any time- appreciated. Amazing super quiet location with incredible views from the room across Lake Titicaca to the snowy mountains beyond- amazing sunrises.

We got a bit lost on the way there as no signal - lots of steep hills to climb up and extremely tiring but worth it when you get to the accommodation.

It is cold at Lake Titicaca so bring warm clothes and thick stocks as the floors are cold.

This is a beautiful property and stunning room with views to the snow capped mountings and glorious sunrise. I highly recommended room 4. This place is perfect you are looking for somewhere peaceful, clean and comfortable. Great bathroom too!

Shower was only hot when the water pressure was low, room was cold with no heater, 10 minute walk from the village with uphill which didn’t bother us but might be inconvenient for some, breakfast could be better with nicer bread and more options

Comfy bed with warm duvet, beautiful location over looking the lake, nice breakfast, friendly host.

You have to work for the views and walk uphill for about 30 minutes with your luggage. Definitely worth it but good to take in consideration.

Breathtaking views, lovely hosts, the most comfortable bed we’ve had since traveling and amazing breakfast with views. We enjoyed every second of it and would recommend everyone to stay here!

Stunning views from room and patio!! The property was really comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Hosts were very friendly and we enjoyed our breakfasts and suppers we ate there (really nice quinoa soup!). It’s about a 20 min walk from the port but worthwhile to get the views and peace & quiet. We had 3 nights there and felt we could have stayed longer to continue relaxing!

It's a bit hard to find - you basically have to walk on a way through the woods that doesn't look like a way, but still continue and you'll find it. So I think a better description would help. Not recommended for people with mobility issues.

Amazing view, comfortable bed and enough blankets against the cold, nice breakfast.
