On arrival at the hotel, the receptionists said I did not have a reservation with the hotel. This was without them even requesting for my passport or name. The General Manager later joined and informed me that they were oversold and did not have a room for me. I was driven to another hotel and was offered transport back to the hotel the next day. I had indicated that I would be paying for my hotel bill by card upon reservation but while going to settle my bill on the night before my check out, the hotel declined ans said they can only take cash. After alot of back and forth, they drove me to the town to access an ATM to withdraw cash

SpainThe cleaning of the hotel rooms and the public spaces in the hotel need to be improved, and particulalry the supervision of the cleaning staff needs to be improved. The remote controls in the hotelroom (aircon and TV) and the panel of the room telephone were not clean. Also the light switches in the entire hotel had not been cleaned for many weeks before I alerted the hotel reception of this fact. The bedlamp in my room did not have a electricity plug upon my arrival. And every day the cleaning staff unplugged the refrigerator in my room, which I told the reception about but which continued for several days. Also the equipment and light switch in the gym had not been cleaned for many days. What I found surprising is that the cleaning supervisor and/or the hotel director did not contact me during my stay to follow up on these issues. The hotel director asked me once during breakfast if all was well, but she did not identify herself and I did not know who she was until later when I asked the reception staff. Apart from this I enjoyed my stay at the hotel.
Staff at hotel reception were excellent: very helpful, cooperative and knowledgeable. Staff at restaurant and bar were helpful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Bed sheets, bathroom and bedroom floors are cleaned well. Breakfast is ok.
