How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Grand Safir Hotel – Honest Review from a Happy Guest We had a lovely stay at the Grand Safir Hotel and were genuinely pleased with the overall experience! From the moment we arrived, the service stood out – especially the lovely receptionist who kindly upgraded us to a suite room at no extra cost. That gesture truly set the tone for our visit. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. It’s those small touches that make a big difference. Our room was spacious with a beautiful city view. The furniture was a little dated, but everything was clean and well-maintained, so we didn’t find it to be an issue. Breakfast was just okay – nothing special, but it did the job. If you’re not too fussy, it’ll get you started for the day. The location is fantastic – really easy access to the main areas of the city, and there are loads of restaurants and coffee shops nearby, which made dining and exploring super convenient. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. Grand Safir might not be ultra-modern, but the service, comfort, and location more than made up for it. Would happily return!

Toiletries are not enough for 2 persons. Always asking for towels. Didn't clean the toilet bowl. Hallway / room smells cigarettes. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

no breakfast provided no soap in the toilet. provided later on. toilet seats are not properly cleaned. still you can find urine marks. Iron plug with 2 pins and its not safety to plug in with the pen or anything.

The sauna bath and stem bath was out of service. The breakfast was served in room which was not enough. The prayer room was very dirty small and didn't maintain. The room wasn't equipped with a sofa.

I spent one night in this hotel and I regret it. The service is really bad and they're not helpful, the place is dirty too. Like VERY dirty for a four star hotel. never again.

We were upgraded to a Suite but then the electricity in the Suite kept turning off. Someone from the hotel said that they would fix it in 5 minutes, but disappeared and left us in the dark for hours then we were downgraded back to our old room.

Restaurant, room service menu was limited. Breakfast buffet was really terrible. They need to seriously do renovation for the building to fix all issues. The hotel management are not monitoring the quality of the food service specifically the breakfast that the guests are paying money against it. The breakfast buffet was in the place or in the disco section!!!!!.

I found the physical key that was provided when checking in a bit inconvenient compared to the contactless entry offered by many hotels nowadays
Spacious and convenient free parking saved me the hassle and cost of finding street parking. The comfortable bed and ample workspace made the room perfect for both relaxation and productivity. The flexible check-in and check-out options were incredibly convenient

Old building, the hangers in the bathroom are broken. Not possible to change settings in AC because buttons are not working. Only one elevator worked for 11 floor building. The second was out of order. We received one towel for 2 persons. We asked for quiet room and we got the room when we hear and felt beats from close disco party during our 2 nights stay from 22:00 till 05:00. At the breakfast the cheapest products even with margarine instead of butter, only white bread, lack of tea cups, breakfast's restaurant without daily light, very dark and unpleasant. In general we were very disappointed by this place
