The beds could be more comfortable, on the first floor people in the common area could be noisy, but not extensive.

Very central location next to the main street of the city, easy check-in, not so crowded place with clear bathrooms and big enough rooms, nice common room with small terrace, friendly staff and clean towels.

We booked this stay mainly to have a place to shower and rest before catching a night train. The place could use some refurbishment, the showers are very small, and the mattress was quite uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend it for more than one night.

Barely slept the first night as I didn’t have a blanket. Absolutely froze. The next morning, I noticed one high up above the lockers under another guests stuff. Also, another guest had the light on until almost midnight, talking loudly on her phone and tapping away at her laptop for hours. When she finally went to bed, she snored like a train all night. Not really the hostels fault, just an inconsiderate guest. Shower over toilet in tiny toilet space. Nowhere to get changed before or after.

Central location, well stocked kitchen with big fridge, large common area, cool decor. Lockers in dorms fit cabin baggage. Good for keeping valuables safe.

You have to check-in before 8pm. Beds are creaky and loud: bring earplugs. I didn't have a towel hook. Doors lock from the inside by key, so if you want to leave the room at 3am to piss, you have to fumble in the dark with your keys without waking other people, which is very difficult. Seems like also a fire hazard to lock from inside using keys, no?

Location is perfect, staff is knowledgeable about Varna, and kind, facilities are adequate, price is very fair.

No check in after 8pm. Mattress slightly more uncomfortable than other hostels. Wooden beds are creakier so use earplugs. If you lock the door at night but you need to piss at 3am, you have to fumble in the dark to find the right key, and unlock the door painstakingly. Seriously you need a key to leave the room. Seems like a fire hazard.

Location perfect. Staff kind and knowledgeable. Facilities good enough. The place was cool yet orderly, at least in May before the real peak tourist season.

I realize most clients in hostels likely smoke or don't care if others do, BUT...some people are allergic to smoking. Smoking was allowed in the stairwell -- which is a common area that everyone uses -- but the hostel is advertised as a "none smoking facility." This is not completely honest. Excepting the balcony, which is technically outside, the corridor/stairwell is inside and if the dorm door is left open (as it sometimes is) the smoke might also travel into a second common dorm area. Solution: advertise that there is smoking aloud in the corridor. Inform people to ensure %100 honesty. =) THANK YOU~!!!

Staff was EXTREMELY accommodating and friendly. The place was conveniently located near the best attractions. Yo Ho was clean, quiet and artistically VERY welcoming. I would recommend this hostel to anyone. I would give the hostel a score of 10 but for one small discrepancy. See below...

Only downside if I am being really picky is I would’ve liked a power socket near the bed but the fact that there wasn’t one didn’t affect my stay.

The staff were genuinely amazing, great guys with great advice. I didn’t research the hostel beforehand but seems to be quite historic and maybe a destination hostel, it’s really quirky, like something from a movie.

Guests smoke on the stairs, so your clothes will constantly stink. Cleanliness is also a bit of an issue and it lacks facilities, for example, in my bed there was no socket to charge my phone and I don't like to keep my phone out of sight or in someone else's bed while charging. Overall, for an extra 3 or 4€ per night you could find a better hostel.

The location of this hostel is simply perfect and the staff is also very welcoming and kind. For the price they offer, it is difficult to find a better option in central Varna. The showers offer warm water with good pressure. What I like the most about this hotel is probably the decoration when you enter the building, full of posters and art.

One of the women rooms is separated with a door with the other room, and you can hear quite everything, and I get bad luck with some noisy neighbours.

The stuff is kind and helpful. The place needs renovation but overall is ok and the location is good.
