Our room probably was and ex smoking room so there was a strong smell of smoke

The room is really simple, but the host is a really kind man, he lives next door and always available. The position of the guesthouse is optimal, easy to reach from airport with public transport.

It was not very clean in the room. The linens and towels provided were very old, used too many times.. Even though it was fixed after a request, there was a problem with the water draining in the bathroom.

Perfect location in the center, near NDK. Fast check-in. Very quiet in the night. Spacious room.

I am not a very demanding traveller, I just look for clean and practical accommodation, but I would not recommend this place. It is cheap but not worth the price. Zero hygiene! There were cockroaches coming out of the bathroom pipes and very bad smell. Dust and spider nets everywhere. Some electrical outlets and night lamp didn´t work. Visibly old and torn apart linen and towels with stains on them. Pillows were "fixed" with sticky tape. Be careful because the door does not close properly and people can peek into the room from the entrance hall even when the door is closed and locked. One of the windows also did not close properly. Overall bad stay because of the lack of cleanliness. Choose another place, trust me!

I don’t want to be rude, but there are some things that are unacceptable regardless of your budget. When I arrived at the property, BOTH of the beds in my room had a nasty bed sheet with someone else’s hair there. The bed was awful, the room was smelly, everything had dust and the host (who barely speaks english) started complaining because I wanted to pay for my stay with credit card. Every time he asked me for payment I said that I was only willing to pay via card and he started to stress and higher the tone saying that I’d need to pay with cash and that I needed to get it from an ATM machine somewhere close to the property. The heater had so much dust that I couldn’t turn it on, also, my window wouldn’t close completely, so I had a freezing night. On the second day I set the boundaries of my dignity and ran away from that place. When I left, the host wasn’t there — He also wasn’t there to receive a couple that had arrived — when I was walking away he simply came out of nowhere asking me when I would get the cash to pay him, I said that I wanted to pay with card and he complained again. Then a series of harassment via Booking message started, he started to text as if I was not going to pay for my stay and that he advised me to go back and pay otherwise he would “file a complaint” and I would have serious trouble. I said that if he had a bunch of stickers on the reception saying that he accepted card, he needed to accept card… To short the story, I managed to pay and everything went well but it was a nightmare and I don’t wish that to anyone, specially if you are a woman traveling alone.

The location, thats it. This MAY work for you if you don’t plan on taking showers there.

We absolutely love this place! The location was amazing and the place itself was super clean. The elderly man who runs the place was incredibly friendly and gave us the warmest welcome. If you ever find yourself in Sofija, you have to check out this place for sure!

Its not like in the pictures. It was dirty the beds were extremely uncomfortable the door har a permanent lil gap when its locked. The pillows were small, old, hard without a pillow case and dirty and smelly 🤢. The covers were dirty and with a lot of old stains. Overall it was like staying in a crack head home.

No facilities, no internet (during my visit) , no kitchen, no microwave , no place to sit down and eat,shower is dangerous, it is exposed to live electrical light fixture. Bed and bedding are subpar.

"The office" is a room of maybe 10 m.sq. where two old guys live. When I arrived one of them was sick and coughing (no mask) and the air in their room was as if the window is never opened, you could feel its heaviness. You can hear them watching TV through 2 doors (their room is one meter away from yours). During one of the days one of the men knocked my door and after I did not reply started opening the door with his keys. Toilet/shower place smells of sewage. Mold on walls. One night the ceiling started leaking water. Seems like someone living above did something, but it added to the negative impression, so I left a night earlier than initially planned.

The reception was awful, faced by an old man on my late arrival at 3:00 am who spoke to me in broken English behind a closed room that left me struggling to catch his words, without making an effort to get off his bed and open the door for a while help, also who kept reminding me in an unpleasant way to leave by 11 o'clock in the morning , he provided me with an internet connection and password when I asked hem , but I found that he blocked my access to the internet the whole night, the room full of bugs I found them in my bad, the people in general unfriendly and not eager to help tourest,my stay in Sofia is a night mare experience.

The el electric contacts are so old they're not making contact. The old landlord started nagging why I ordered at bookings and not go around. Because of 5 leva commission he has to pay.
