We liked absolutely everything: a well-maintained hotel, a clean room, wonderful delicious food for breakfast and dinner, friendly hotel staff, unobtrusive service, a beautiful children's room, large pools with clean water, absolutely everything was incredible and above all expectations. Our child had a birthday and they made a cake for us at our request (we asked in the evening and they already picked it up in the morning)

There is only 2 elevators for the whole complex which means - long wait every time.

Service is one of the best in Bulgaria. Stunning view from the room terrace to Pirin Mountain chains, so we enjoyed our morning coffee. Location is great.

What impressed me the most was how friendly, yet professional the staff is. Above and beyond! The hotel itself is pretty well maintained. The rooms aren’t spacious and the view is fantastic. The spa is also good and offers a decent variety. The food selection is also very good.

At dinner i would have appreciated at least a bottle of water from the house, we came with child and when asked in the 1st day a bottle of water the waiter brought us the most expensive one (we should have looked into the menu but still, i did not like the approach). Only few employees know EN language, but even like that the housekeeping staff was very helpful.

I liked a lot the food, all dishes were very tasty, nothing was missing from the dinner's menu, big variety of dishes. Nice variety of breads and salads!

Rooms are in desperate need of soundproofing. We were with a young toddler who could not fall asleep due to noise coming from rooms next to us. It is clear that other guests could be very inconsiderate and therefore the solution is better soundproof of rooms. Massage procedure was not bad but could definitely be better for this hotel.

Food has always been very good here. Most of the staff was nice and welcoming. In general it was a pleasant stay.

The smell in the smaller steam room was not pleasant, as well as the outside pool entrance that connected to the interior pool. I think maybe some ventilation system should alleviate the foul smelling condensation at the pool entrance. Other than that everything was perfect, thank you for a great stay.

The food had a lot of variety which we enjoyed and it was very tasty. The had "real" fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning and a lot more food options than we were used to with many natural alternatives. The shuttle buses to the sky resort were quick and came by often (every hour).

The only downside was that the room was too warm, and I couldn’t adjust the temperature, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable at times.

I had an amazing stay! The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and had a breathtaking view of the mountains. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, perfect for a great night’s sleep. The spa area was absolutely fantastic—everything you’d expect from a luxury hotel. But the highlight for me was the heated outdoor pool. Relaxing in warm water while admiring the snowy peaks around me was simply magical. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Bansko. Can’t wait to come back!

The hotel was amazing they let us have breakfast even when we were earlier from our check in and they found us room so we didn’t have to wait till noon. The spa was very clean also. The hotel provides bus transfer to the ski area which was so convenient for us not to take the car.

I would highly recommend this hotel! The outstanding feature that makes it truly special, aside from the beautiful and magnetic view of the mountains, is the hotel staff—especially the breakfast team. During my stay, I had to leave for skiing at 7:30 AM and was always in a hurry for a quick coffee before heading out, as breakfast wasn’t open yet. However, one of the waitresses—whose name I wish I had caught—made me feel so welcome and encouraged me to grab a quick breakfast. She truly made the start of my day wonderful! Without a doubt, they have the best staff I’ve ever encountered in hotels across Bulgaria. The food was really good too!

We had trouble getting the TV-remote to work. The rooms could use some soundproofing.

The room was spacious, and we had a wonderful mountain view from the balcony. The pool was amazing. The indoor playground is not very large, but it's well equipped. The variety of foods for breakfast and dinner was amazing, and the food was tasty. There were parking spots available in front of the hotel. The TV had Netflix and YouTube without ads.

Sound proofing does not exist between rooms. You can hear absolutely everything. There was no program or any entertainment other than bowling and a pool table. The piano bar was closed, and it was kind of dead. i signed up for an expensive massage and throughout the procedure the masseuse was trying to cross sell me on another procedure which I didn't want, and I probably had to say I'm not interested seven different ways which totally kills the relaxation in the massage.

The place is nice and has all the amenities comfort wise. Rooms are spacious, and pools and steam rooms are nice too. Lots of different massages and procedures available.

The hotel is in need of renovation. And rooms will benefit from a better organization of space - three adults /my son is already in our age group/ in a suite felt really crowded and we did not even have our ski outfits around.

I did not know what to expect, funnily enough this was our first visit to Katarino - I did check the rating and found it really hard to believe. However, they do deliver on that promise. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff goes the extra mile of making guests feel great.
