There are no Half an hour by taxi to Sofia, there are no places around. The hotel did not have enough clean towels to give us to the water park. We asked for 3, it was one day and they took a deposit that was returned. On the second day there was only 1 towel, they took a deposit of another amount + demanded payment of local tax, there was no order in the prices, they said that the towels were in the laundry (we checked from 10 am to 4 pm, they did not arrive) we did not bring towels on the plane. And a water attraction, must have a towel. On the 3rd day the shampoo ran out, they forgot to bring it, we asked. There was no spare roll of toilet paper in the room, when it runs out you have to go ask for it - less convenient. The employees at the reception belong to the park. Not the hotel's, not sure about the questions I asked. I didn't understand who was in charge there. Other than that, it was a fun week. for childrentowels

The property was beautiful and clean. Facilities were clean and well maintained. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. A definite recommendation. Love the warm and professional welcome of the young lady who received us ( did not get her name) She definitely gets a 12/10 for customer service.

We were there for 5 nights. Most of the advertised activities were not available or there were no staff to refer to for them. Entertainment area was closed off, rodeo simulator was off, and there was no horseback riding. Could be because it was not the high season but it should be specified when these are available. There is also a nice bar within the pool, but for some strange reason it only sells Shisha, no drinks. Also choice of food from the restaurants is very limited, especially for kids, and especially during the week.

The place is very clean and there's plenty for the kids to enjoy themselves, especially if they love animals. It was not very crowded, rooms are large and well maintained, including a Dolce Gusto machine for coffee!

The shower overflowed on one of the rooms. The water on the pools was really cold though it was mid-August. One hitted pool could make a huge difference. Also no breakfast although it is pretty expensive compared to similar locations.

We liked the lake and the vibe at the water park, the park has 2 sliders. Clean rooms and nice view. Stuff were nice.

Although we booked a room for 4, we got an overcharge for two children.

The location is great and allows for a nice and quite night under the stars. Busy during the day with many pool guests but after 8pm, it changes. Plenty to do, with a great mini zoo.

The staff was amazing. Extremely friendly and accommodating. Made us feel like VIPs :) pools, activities, food, accommodation were all more than we expected. It was also really clean. We stayed from a Monday until Wednesday so it was not very crowded, but enough people to have a fun vibe.

The pools for swimming are at least 1.2 metres deep so not ideal for younger non swimmers.

Staying overnight is simply not worth it. It was raining during our two night stay and there was literally nothing to do. The only open restaurant out of six was closing much earlier than its designated time. The limited food on the menu was decent, but beware of the atrocious prices! Drainage issues in the bathroom. The place is crammed with hammocks and lawn chairs that are taking every little bit of space on the grounds to the point where you can't walk normally around the pools or enjoy the view over the lake. Overall, an an overhyped, overpriced mess!

Looks OK if you want to use the pools/slides on a hot day. Some members of staff were helpful and welcoming, others not so much. On a colder day all bars and slides are closed.

We left the resort a day earlier, absolutely furious. Our vacation was completely ruined by the resort’s poor management and blatant money-grabbing tactics. First of all, they try to upsell you on EVERYTHING. From ridiculous charges to access a so-called VIP area to unexpected fees just for towels, it felt like we were being nickeled and dimed at every turn. The restaurant? Don’t even bother. The food is shockingly overpriced—easily three times more expensive than any decent restaurant in Sofia. It’s outrageous for what they offer. There isn’t even a proper reception—just some dingy kiosk where the staff barely speaks English, and don’t expect any friendliness either, especially from a guy named Daniel. They seem to thrive on making guests uncomfortable. Rooms? Disgusting. The showers were outdated and leaked everywhere. The place desperately needs repairs and renovation—it’s falling apart. And don’t count on any kind of decent room service either. This place is nothing more than a greedy trap. They’ve turned what could be a relaxing getaway into a stressful, overpriced nightmare. Save yourself the misery and DO NOT stay overnight. If you’re desperate to visit, maybe go for a day—but be warned! Bring your own water, food, and towels because they’ll try to charge you for everything. They even confiscated people’s water at the entrance! So, unless you’re okay with being gouged for basic necessities, steer clear of this resort for anything more than a quick visit to the pool. Don’t let them ruin your vacation like they did ours.

We have to give credit where it’s due.The waiting staff were absolutely wonderful. All the waiters were kind, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. They treated us with respect and care, going out of their way to make our stay better. They were a real bright spot in an otherwise terrible experience. The security guard was also incredibly helpful, way beyond what was expected of him. He treated us with patience and kindness and was honestly more helpful than the resort’s management ever could be. We really appreciated his efforts.Mini-zoo is nice too.

Very disappointing- although we went in August when is the busiest season most of the things that were advertised in their website weren’t available! No kids animators , no karaoke , no giant balls to walk on water . Most of the things advertised for your kids to have good time just weren’t there or were broken (like the arcade machines ) and kids playground worn off . I asked before i booked on the phone and was reassured by a lady that everything works during the weekend ! So I booked most expensive day -Saturday and most expensive room and thought my kids will have great time but -NO ! As I result I asked to speak to manager - Very , very rude lady that told me that giant balls are just broken (no apologies at all ) and that I need to prebook animator and karaoke night . That was obviously rubbish cos this isn’t on their website and this is not what they told me when I called asking for those things on the phone ! The manager didn’t apologise although I booked over 500lv worth of room for 1 night , she couldn’t wait to get rid of me ! Don’t go there waisting your money . This place has great potential but not with this management! P.S. later on when I spoke to some of her staff they told me that many things aren’t working or aren’t happening now cos they have less and less customers to sleep over (nothing to do with the rude manager excuse of pre-booking lol , how can u ore-book karaoke only for yourself lol ) . People just come , use the swimming pools and go - much better option than paying them over 500lv for no entertainment or animators whatsoever .

The place is beautiful and plenty of swimming pools . The room with jacuzzi was good (although I paid for the most expensive option ) . The guy who looked after the horses and did the horse lessons was amazing and he made me and my daughter feeling very comfortable I can see he loves his job and his animals. Very nice and polite lady that welcomed us (think she said she also worked as a teacher ) , she was proper customer service material unlike her manager . The Wind Mills Hydropark is an amazing place to stay, very peaceful with a lot of facilities to have fun. I’ve been in a couple of places but this one is the kind you wanna relax with your friends or family! You can can go fishing, swimming or go for a walk in the peaceful lake at the “resort”. There are many amenities include 6 pool that you can relax in. I would recommend it a 100 times! Thanks for everything Wind Mills Hydropark!
