The owner was so polite, helpful and pleasant! The location is ideal, near public transport and nice places. The shared bathrooms were clean and the spaces were clean too.

Although the hosts were always ready to let me into the building, not having an actual key or way to enter without them didn't feel as comfortable as other places. The other guests that were staying there at the same time made the stay highly uncomfortable.

I booked this hostel as I was arrived in the middle of the night from the airport and there were very few places at all in Sofia that do 24 hour check in. So Ivory Tower Hostel was a life-saver. The female owner was also really friendly :)

When we booked it was not so clear that the bathroom was a shared one. After booking it is stated on the booking confirmation -too late. The hostess promised us after arrival that it was not shared, finally it was shared. Anyway we could survive. This aforementioned bathroom was not heated but the hostess gave us the chance to us another one one floor lower.

The only common area is the kitchen, so not much space for interaction with other travellers if this is something you're looking for. No bedside lights or privacy curtains, so if someone needs light at night they would need to turn on the central light.

Nice and accommodating owners, comfortable amenities, good location. The owners had no issues with me checking in late due to a delayed flight. I felt they care about their guests and want to provide them with the best experience. They provided recommendations for anything I might want in the area.

The cleaness of the place was not the strength of the hostel. Also the rules of not entering with your shoes in a private bedroom seemed a little excessive.

The hostel hosts (a elderly couple) were nice and gentle.

There's a rule that you have to take off your shoes before entering the room. And no slippers are provided. So the socks were quite dirty because the floor wasn't very clean. I guess you should either provide slippers or clean the floors well.

The place is well-known located. Check out before 12.00, which is very convenient. The beds were OK.

The sidelight is there but no socket to plug it in.

It is run by an older couple. They welcome every guest like family.my bed was comfortable, the room was warm. Oliver very kindly made me a delicious coffee in the morning before I went to the airport. It is very conveniently situated a short walk from Serdika station and Vitosha Boulevard. Free towels are available and use of the kitchen area.

- No elevators - Upper floor ceilings near the staircase is a bit low so needed to watch one's head. - Hostel is a little hard to find inside an alley

Great location, <5 minute walk to Serdika metro station with good connections to the central railway station as well as the airport. Great food and grocery options nearby. Hostess is very friendly. Luggage storage available before and after. Laundry facilities available. Social atmosphere in common areas.

I didn’t get along well with the host and felt uncomfortable with him. Therefore spent as much time as possible outside. There were no common rooms except for the kitchen, which was okayish clean. The rooms didn’t look as in the photos, everything much more rugged down. Value for money was okay though, good location.

Not every bed was provided with A/C socket. The space between beds were a bit close together so that it's hard to keep the personal privacy.

It's a hostel run by a couple. They provided a home like feel to the guests. It located close to the old town. The hosts were kind enough to provide all kinds of support to the guests if they could manage.

I had some bugs on the bed, they did bite but didn't look like bed bugs - I didn't bring them home or anything so they don't transfer, otherwise everything is good.

The beds are very comfortable and the hostel provides many things, such as coffee, extra blankets, towels, they even have the option to wash your clothes at the location just for 10lv.
