Unfortunately, it’s a big disappointment that the female-only dorms are charged more. I’ve hostel-hopped in many countries and this is not ok. My night there wasn’t the most pleasant, but that was not the fault of the hostel itself. It was due to a Muslim woman who would switch on the main lights in the middle of the night to pray or something without any regard for the fellow people in the dorm. She also ate inside the room despite it being against the rules. My advice would be to tell the staff about such things, maybe they will do something about it.

The hostel’s location is excellent. The premises are generally clean, though the sinks and bathrooms could use a bit more attention. I recommend installing toilet paper holders instead of leaving rolls on the floor, as that’s not very hygienic. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Some staff members (male one) was acting like he is a king, with a high ego and time wasting repetitive long answers when you ask something to him. Common space was closed at night and it was really such a pity. I think kitchen and common areas should remain open longer hours at night.

The hostel was clean and well located. Walking distance from city centre. Nice Bakeries and supermarket are next to the hostel. Some staff members were really nice and some staff members were very bad and unfriendly. On rooftop, they had common space for guests but almost noone was socialising with each other. Awkward silence, Weird experience.

No lift so you have to climb stairs to 4th floor pulling your baggage also to the 4th floor where is the reception!!

The weather was very hot, but the rooms did not have even a fan. I had to buy a fan for myself in order to be able to sleep or stay in the room. Then, I found out that there was an AC in the common room and the kitchen only on the last day! They did not bother to turn it on and it was hot as an oven there (last floor under the roof, 36C outside). The dishes are only plastic so it was not safe to use them in the micro.

The location is amazing, close to the center and the metro. The staff was friendly and the hostel was clean all the time.

The kitchen open at 8 am, and it's quite late if you want to have a early breakfast. It's common for travellers to go out early to explore the area.

Easy to reach by metro from the airport, and very close to the city center. Supermarket few minutes away. Clean and very quiet hostel. Big common area and kitchen. Hairdryer on request. Little lockers in the room, you need your own padlock. Opening hours of the reception and kitchen from 8am to 1am in the night. I can't complain almost for anything.

The floor in the bar/balcony/ terrace area needs washing as it is sticky from the spilt drinks.

The female staff at reception weren't very helpful or informative, unlike the male ones. It didn't bother me but it would if it was winter. The water from the shower cooled up quickly.

It was very very hot in Sofia. There was no air conditioning in the room which made for uncomfortable sleeping. Please consider placing air conditioning in your hostel . It is an investment for the future and your guests comfort.

The cleaning lady keeps entering my room even after the cleaning hours have passed. She also keeps opening the curtain of my bed. I paid for a premium bed with a curtain because I wanted extra privacy, but she continues to open it, and I don’t understand why. During my stay, there was also a leak in the bathroom. Water was coming from the ceiling. The shower and toilet areas were a bit dirty. Maybe the cleaning lady should focus on cleaning those areas instead of entering my room and opening my curtain without my permission. There’s no air conditioning in the room, which is understandable given the price of €12–16 per night. However, it can get quite hot during the summer.

The hostel is good value for money. You get what you pay for. The location is perfect–close to public transport, shops, supermarkets, and the main attractions. The staff were nice and helpful!

Some of the guests were robbing something of my food (but it can happen in a big hostel like this). There was no air-conditioning or fan, so it was hot in the night.

The hostel is located in the center of sofia. The staff was always nice and it was really clean.
