Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomUnfortunately, the overall experience was extremely disappointing, and we ended up cutting our stay short because we simply couldn’t bear staying any longer. Another family we spoke to did the same. The cleanliness of the property was unacceptable — everything was dirty and clearly in need of a deep, thorough clean. The bedsheets were particularly unhygienic: itchy, uncomfortable, and not fit for guest use. The food was generally poor, with the only redeeming item being the bread rolls — though bizarrely, no butter was available. What kind of hotel serving breakfast offers no butter? Worse, one day we experienced severe stomach issues, with symptoms consistent with food poisoning. Two other families also confirmed similar symptoms. When we reported this, the manager’s response was to accuse us of lying and claim no other guests had complained — despite us having spoken directly to others who had the same issue. This dismissive and unprofessional attitude was unacceptable. While the swimming pool itself was clean, the surrounding area was dirty. The loungers were filthy, and the patio clearly hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. Some of the poolside drainage was broken and posed a safety risk, especially for children. The hotel smelled stale throughout, as if it hadn’t been aired out in years. The closet was unusable due to the awful odor inside. Despite the room being for two adults, there was only one chair on the balcony. The bathroom had no ventilation, and the shower caused water to flood the entire floor — yet no towel was provided to dry it. Communication with staff was incredibly difficult. Apart from the bartender, no one seemed to speak even basic English. Worse, not a single member of staff used basic courtesies like “please” or “thank you.” The front desk was unhelpful throughout our stay. My car was damaged in the hotel’s car park, and staff took no responsibility or action.

United KingdomThe cleaning - they were taking the used towels if you would put them on the floor and that’s about it. Without replacing the towels and when you would ask they would give you beach towels. Reception - One older lady in reception is always angry and is not helpful at all. The other younger ladies and the guy on night shift are actually nice. The food - some of it was terrible, you can only chose from 5 dishes, they add a lot of condiments and spices and for the children is hard to eat that.. we stayed a week and they never had chips or pizza or something like that. One day the rice, being reused, was bad , you could smell it went bad and was slimey. I have nothing against reusing food and mix it with something else.. but I don’t think they store it properly and it goes bad and they still serve it. The fish one day wasn’t even cleaned properly inside. Car park - they don’t offer at the hotel. Right in front of the hotel there is a parking but is expensive and not monitored. Very close to the hotel there is a big one with 10 leva a day, it’s with barrier and security guy. The resort is close to Golden Sands so if you want some night life and crowded places you can go there - taxi costs 15 leva day time, 25 leva evening and 40 night time from the hotel.
These are reviews from 20+ friends combined. The rooms - they aren’t that bad, some of my friends had problems with power plugs, tv, air conditioning etc but they fixed the issues. Swimming pool - I cannot complain about that, they let you use the pool from the hotel accross the street that have some slides and also they close the pool at midnight where at Gloria they close it at 6pm.

IrelandThe food was terrible, I’m not a fussy eater but food was greasy, recycled between lunch and dinner, very poor selection, breakfast always the same choice, during lunch and dinner I couldn’t get butter for my toast 🤯; the hotel is very outdated, feels very 90’s, cleaning lady kept it clean but certain things just need to be updated to get the dirty out! The free bed was a sofa bed that could break any minute. Bar closes at 10pm and if you don’t make it touch luck even if you queued for the last half an hour. Staff hardly ever smiled, apart from few staff members (receptionist Dimitri and lovely cleaning lady) very disappointing that you don’t feel welcome! Staff seem overworked and that’s probably the reason why. it’s totally the fault of the management of the hotel that seems inflexible and unwelcoming! There is no porter at night time so God love the young girls on the reception if trouble ever started! Animators for kids were there at times but activities were very limited (uno, jigsaws, colouring, water ball play), shout out to Sofia who was probably the smilies one there, knowing all the kids by their name and working with whatever limited resources she had.
Good swimming pool, access to the water slide in the nearby hotel, close to the beach & a couple of lovely staff - a reception names Dimitri (hope spelt right) and a cleaning lady serving floor one during my stay, one with dark curly hair tied in a pony tail!
