Was a little hard for the taxi to find as the light was off, but Google maps has us in the right place & the sign was just visible. Aircon couldn't cope with 40' but courtyard was cool

Location is pretty central & on a quiet road, very safe & a pleasant walk. We had a courtyard view( well it meant it was quiet). After an initial error in check in the hotel worried quickly & well to correct, really genuine response to an easy hiccup.. They were also very quick with emails & the night porter greeted us by name as we arrived at 4am!!

The hotel can use some updating. New flooring in the rooms (old carpet) would be nice and the shower didn't work so great, but we were able to get clean nonetheless

The staff were all very friendly! The location was very close to many walkable sights in Sofia and for being "downtown," the hotel was quite quiet. It was affordable as well

It was great to be able to keep my bicycle inside my room.. Disapointing that the room had a refrigerator but no electric kettle in the room. Typically a hotel and room of this standard would have tea and coffee making in the room. I understand there tea and coffee in the lobby, but that's very inconvenient Reception did provide me with a kettle when asked and I appreciate that. Otherwise it's a great hotel.. thanks

The hotel looks as if it has seen better days and had an unloved feel. The furnishings in our room were rather old, there was a tear in the curtain and generally it felt in need or refurbishment. Unfortunately the hotel does not offer breakfast although it looks as if it used to have its own restaurant. We went to a nearby cafe for a banitsa each morning.

Copied from my TripAdvisor review: We spent two nights in the Diter Hotel. There are some very good things about it but some drawbacks as well. The location could not be beaten. It is very close to the Vitosha Boulevard and within walking distance of all the sights that a visitor to Sofia might wish to see. It is in a quiet street in a slightly shabby area of flats, small shops, restaurants and bars. There is an excellent restaurant two doors along Han Asparuh Street. We came by car and one of the reasons for choosing the Diter was that it advertised parking. In fact it has an arrangement with a car park round the corner. We emailed the hotel before our visit and were given accurate directions to the car park. It turned out to be a piece of rough ground where the attendants are experts at squeezing as many cars as possible into a small space. Nevertheless it met our requirements. Our room was of a good size and the bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The lighting was good and there were plenty of electric sockets. The shower was remarkably fancy for the hotel but the screen was somewhat rickety. Nevertheless it did its job and no water escaped to the rest of the bathroom. Wifi signal was strong and password protected. The receptionists spoke excellent English and were pleasant. We found that the safe in our wardrobe was jammed open. We mentioned that it did not work and when we returned it had been repaired. Water and coffee are available free in the reception area of the hotel which was a nice treat.

The location is definitely amazing and very easy to just walk everywhere in the city. The room is spacious, nice and has a great table with a big mirror.

Cleanliness could be improved a little, but nothing major. Not criticism, just something to be aware of: Prior to the stay I received some messages by scammers who pretended to be acting on behalf of the hotel. From the messages it was quite obvious that they were a scam. The hotel quickly notified me about the attempted scams.

The staff were nice and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location is great, all the main sights are within walking distance.

Very centrally located, next door there is a great restaurant with traditional Bulgarian cuisine, and this very delicious too. The room was very spacious and with all the utilities needed. Even if a bit outdated, we felt comfy. Free water and coffee downstairs at the reception.
