Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaOne area for improvement could be the comfort of the small children. Ours had to sleep on a small sofa bed and a fold-out couch. It might be worth considering upgrading to more modern sofa beds that convert into larger double beds. I believe it would add great value to the All-Inclusive program if the hotel considered offering juices made from real fruits. During that season, Bulgaria has plenty of affordable fresh fruit, and many local companies produce natural juices from apples, cherries, grapes, and other fruits. This would not only improve the quality of the drinks but also support local producers.
We were very pleased with our stay at Blue Orange. Our biggest concern was the quality of the All-Inclusive program, especially the food, since we were traveling with our little children. Fortunately, the food was extremely varied and very well prepared. There were themed dinners, and we especially enjoyed the Bulgarian traditional night as well as the seafood night. As for the alcohol and drinks, the hotel did not stand out from others. The soft drinks, advertised as Fanta, Sprite, or Coca-Cola, were either some local imitations or watered down. The kids’ juices unfortunately tasted completely artificial. The beer was also of the lowest quality, though that did not come as a surprise. Perhaps the management should consider putting a bit more focus on this part, as everything else was on a very good level. Regarding the complex, it was extremely well maintained. Our room was cleaned daily, and towels and bed linen were changed very often. The pool was spotless. Every day there were different activities for the children, and the talent show in the evening was the highlight. The kids sang, danced, and had lots of fun — truly a children’s paradise. The beach is literally just 15–20 meters away from what is perhaps the most beautiful and cleanest beach in Bulgaria — “Golden Fish” beach. We had a wonderful time at the resort and would definitely return next year.

RomaniaLocation outside Sozopol a bit far away. Parking was difficult and parking places where few and far between. Foods was a bit modest and cleaning needs a bit of work. Some of guests where problematic...
It was a nice inviting hotel with a friendly atmosphere.

United KingdomWe asked for a twin room but got a double bed, although our request was approved according to booking.
The hotel is nicely laid out in a few smaller buildings with gardens in between, it was very nice. It extends all the way to the beach. The rooms were clean and tidy, we had a great stay.

United KingdomFinding the parking and a space there is challenging and guests are left to sort out parking spaces themselves, driving through a very narrow road where people park however they choose suitable. Mainly, it's frustrating that guests have to pay to use the umbrellas and loungers on the beach (30 lv per day), having in mind it's a private beach owned by the hotel. Other private beaches nearby allow free access to their hotel guests. The wi fi was so poor that it was non-existent. Coffee is only included in the all inclusive offer during meal time and is instant coffee. The description in the booking says the rooms have tumble dryers which is not correct. The food wasn't impressive but most of the time it provided enough options for everyone to feel satisfied with the meals. We found the afternoon snack to be the most repetitive and restrictive meal in terms of options offering pizza and biscuits all the time.
Although not a small hotel, we enjoyed that it didn't feel overcrowded. The place has a family vibe with mostly families with children staying there, yet it's not overly loud so little ones can sleep undisturbed. Staying in a junior suite/studio gave us plenty of room for a family of 4. Beds were comfortable and the room had great blackout curtains. The hotel is a 2-minute walk to the beach, walking through the garden takes you directly to the sand dunes. There was an animation team who provided some entertainment for the kids, although not overly exciting. We especially appreciated having free access to ice cream at all meals. Staff were accommodating. Fig trees are grown on site with delicious figs to be enjoyed by all. The melon and watermelon served were always delicious. Also, it was great to see that 'reserving' the sun loungers with towels was not a thing at this hotel!

UkraineThe outdoor unit of our air conditioner was situated on the balcony, and it was uncomfortable to sit there while the air conditioner was running. I also encountered an issue with parking. Although the hotel offers parking, the availability is limited. When I arrived, there were no parking spaces left, so I had to park my car on the street.
During my stay at this hotel, I liked the room size and air conditioning. Everything was okay with the room except for the balcony. And the hotel looks really nice. And not far from the beach.

United KingdomLimited non vegetarian options, mostly pork. No variety of the dishes on day to day basis. Parking was not available 95% of the time. Most of the facilities mentioned were out of service or under maintenance (for example the gym). It was mentioned that the hotel has private beach, however the only private thing was the alley leading to it. Limited sun lounges around the pool.
The area/ complex was quiet, everything was clean overall and desk staff were friendly. Swimming pool was clean and hotel was at a convenient distance from the beach.

United KingdomThe resort is located outside of Central Sozopol but has access to its own beach. The bar on site was reasonably priced and the option of breakfast and dinner was available. Parking was available; you just need to remember to ask reception about raising the barrier on the way in and out.

United KingdomNeed to have an ATM on-site. Most of the places around do not take card payments and the closest ATM is 15-20 min walk!
It was a very nice hotel, clean rooms, excellent WiFi, nice grounds and personnel. It is mostly catered for families with kids as most of the guest came with an all-inclusive offer but it was still enjoyable for us since we had direct access to the beach and chiringuitos/beach clubs in the area.

The location was just perfect, right next to the beach. The beach itself was clean with a lot of opportunities both for those who prefers sun beds or public/free zone area. The hotel garden is very-well maintained, variety of plants and flowers, it adds value to the overall stay experience. Good breakfast and free parking (in case there are empty spot). The big surprise was the room with sea view, it was just excellent for what I was looking for.

BulgariaThe service is terrible, you don’t feel welcomed at all, just the opposite. I specifically booked it because of the gym, but it turned out it doesn’t work, no lobby bar either, you have to wait at the restaurant for 30 minutes to get a coffee, there is no other way. Super overpriced for what you get.
It’s a beautiful building with a lot of flowers and very close to the beach.

PolandVery poor breakfast, no fresh bread, no good joghurt. All of the products seemed to be the cheapest and of a very poor quality. Staff very indifferent. Small parking, unable to accomodate all of hotel quests, we needed to park by the beach one day. The hotel surrounding is not pleasant, lots of mess and trash bins. To sum up, for me this is definitely not a 4* hotel, rather 2*, especially in a EU country.
Close to the beach, big room.

BulgariaIt could be a little cleaner - especially the carpet and the linens and pillows.
Location: away from the city center but the place is very cozy and quiet. Not to mention that one of the best beaches in the Black Sea is in the backyard of the hotel. Staff: Friendly and responsive. If you need anything they will support you with lightning speed. I hope the management will succeed to keep this staff together for the next season. Rooms: The size of rooms is bigger than the accepted standards for hotel rooms. You have a balcony from where you have a beautiful view of the wonderful gardens. The food and the all-inclusive service: It was varied food. The drinks are standards for the all-inclusive - beer and some domestic spirits. Price: It is in the average range. At all, it was quite profitable for all-inclusive service. Highly recommended and next season we will visit you again.
